God Has Spoken<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201cGod, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.\u201d
Hebrews 1:1\u20132<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

Hebrews begins with God speaking, and it essentially ends with God speaking: \u201cSee that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, \u2018Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven\u2019\u201d (Heb. 12:25\u201326).<\/p>

Hebrews is a book that reveals how you and I may approach a holy and righteous God in worship. What Leviticus is to the Old Testament, Hebrews is to the New. Leviticus<\/em> means \u201cHe called,\u201d for the Lord called His people to approach Him in worship, but always according to His prescribed way.<\/p>

You and I were unable to draw near to Him before the work of Christ was accomplished. This is why God drew near to us in the person of His Son. He had spoken to mankind at various times and in various ways through the prophets. But as the holy and righteous God, who cannot look upon sin, He had one final message for mankind, which He spoke in and through His Son.<\/p>

The very One \u201cwho alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see\u201d (1 Tim. 6:16) revealed Himself through His beloved Son. We could not go in to meet with Him, so He came out to meet with us! The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s beloved Son, became a Man\u2014God manifested in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16)\u2014in order to make God known to mankind. He is the Eternal Word (John 1:1) who became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). \u201cNo one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him\u201d (John 1:18).<\/p>

In the past, God used many different means to reveal Himself, but now He has funneled everything through His beloved Son, the incarnate revelation of God.<\/p>

Anchor For Today:<\/strong>
The Lord Jesus is God’s final Word on every subject. \u201cSee that you do not refuse Him who speaks\u201d (Heb. 12:25).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
