\u201cJuan dio testimonio de \u00e9l y exclam\u00f3: \u2018Este es aquel de quien yo dije: \u201cEl que viene despu\u00e9s de m\u00ed es superior a m\u00ed, porque exist\u00eda antes que yo\u201d\u2019. Y de su plenitud todos hemos recibido, y gracia sobre gracia. Porque la ley fue dada por medio de Mois\u00e9s, pero la gracia y la verdad vinieron por medio de Jesucristo.\u201d
Juan 1:15\u201317<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

En el vers\u00edculo 14, vimos que el mensaje final de Dios a la humanidad lleg\u00f3 en forma de Hombre. Se nos dice que Juan dio testimonio de \u00c9l y declar\u00f3: \u201cEl que viene despu\u00e9s de m\u00ed es superior a m\u00ed, porque exist\u00eda antes que yo\u201d. Juan naci\u00f3 seis meses antes que el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas (Lucas 1:36), pero no se refer\u00eda al orden f\u00edsico de las cosas. Claramente, se refer\u00eda a la preexistencia eterna del Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas. Como Hijo de Dios y Verbo Eterno, el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas exist\u00eda mucho antes de que Juan fuera concebido.<\/p>

Entendemos que la gracia es el favor inmerecido de Dios hacia nosotros, aunque no lo merezcamos. Nuestros vers\u00edculos nos dicen que quienes creen en el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas han recibido gracia de su plenitud. Su plenitud es infinita. \u00c9l continuamente nos colma de su gracia. Es gracia sobre gracia.<\/p>

Imag\u00ednate estar junto al oc\u00e9ano, viendo c\u00f3mo una tras otra las olas rompen en la orilla. Esta es la imagen que tenemos ante nosotros. Su gracia fluye de su plenitud infinita, y no tiene fin. Es gracia sobre gracia.<\/p>

La Ley le dec\u00eda al hombre lo que era correcto, pero no le daba el poder para cumplir las justas exigencias de un Dios santo. Pero la gracia y la verdad \u2014el equilibrio perfecto\u2014 vinieron a trav\u00e9s del Hombre perfecto y nos brindaron la salvaci\u00f3n que tanto necesit\u00e1bamos: \u201cPorque por gracia ustedes han sido salvados mediante la fe; esto no procede de ustedes, sino que es un don de Dios; no por obras, para que nadie se glor\u00ede\u201d (Efesios 2:8-9).<\/p>

T\u00fa y yo no solo somos salvados por esta gracia, sino que tambi\u00e9n somos apartados por ella para que podamos vivir para la gloria de Dios.<\/p>

El mensaje de Dios para nosotros es que, por su gracia, podemos ser salvos para la eternidad, apartados para su gloria y servirle como testimonio a un mundo que perece. Esto es posible solo por gracia.<\/p>
