Describe la verdadera santidad, espiritualidad y virtud. La palabra <em>contentamiento<\/em> Significa \u201cautosuficiencia interior\u201d. Se usaba a menudo para describir a una persona que est\u00e1 en paz consigo misma y no se deja influir por las circunstancias externas; una persona que responde adecuadamente a su entorno.<\/p><p>Cuando combinamos estas dos palabras, <em>devoci\u00f3n<\/em> y <em>contentamiento<\/em>, Aprendemos que ambas cosas deben ser evidentes en nuestras vidas como seguidores de Jesucristo. Debemos tener \u201cun estilo de vida que refleje constantemente el car\u00e1cter de Dios\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>Pablo contin\u00faa exponiendo cuatro verdades que nos ayudan a vivir una vida cristiana plena y satisfactoria que refleje consistentemente el car\u00e1cter de Dios.<\/p><p>En primer lugar, aprendemos que la satisfacci\u00f3n no proviene de las posesiones ni de la riqueza. La satisfacci\u00f3n proviene de una vida piadosa que conf\u00eda y depende de Dios en toda circunstancia (2 Corintios 3:5; Filipenses 4:11).<\/p><p>En segundo lugar, las cosas materiales no duran; son temporales. Nada trajimos al mundo, y nada material nos llevaremos de \u00e9l (Job 1:21; Salmo 49:17; Eclesiast\u00e9s 5:15).<\/p><p>En tercer lugar, el Se\u00f1or satisface fielmente nuestras necesidades b\u00e1sicas. El Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas dijo: \u201cPor eso les digo: no se preocupen por su vida, qu\u00e9 comer\u00e1n o qu\u00e9 beber\u00e1n; ni por su cuerpo, qu\u00e9 vestir\u00e1n. \u00bfAcaso no vale m\u00e1s la vida que el alimento, y el cuerpo m\u00e1s que la ropa? Observen las aves del cielo: no siembran ni cosechan ni almacenan en graneros; sin embargo, su Padre celestial las alimenta. \u00bfNo valen ustedes mucho m\u00e1s que ellas?\u201d (Mateo 6:25-26).<\/p><p>Cuarto, en los vers\u00edculos 9-10, Pablo usa la palabra <em>deseo<\/em>, Esto implica la idea de \u201ca cualquier precio\u201d o \u201cuna determinaci\u00f3n inquebrantable\u201d.
