Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa exactamente estar contento? \u00bfQu\u00e9 significa ser piadoso?<\/p><p>Un diccionario b\u00edblico define la piedad como \u201cla cualidad o pr\u00e1ctica de conformarse a las leyes y deseos de Dios; devoci\u00f3n y rectitud moral\u201d. A\u00f1ade: \u201cSer sabio es vivir en piedad, reflejando la naturaleza del reino de Dios en el transcurso de la vida cotidiana\u201d. Esta es una definici\u00f3n \u00fatil, pero \u00bfqu\u00e9 significa en la pr\u00e1ctica? \u00bfC\u00f3mo se manifiesta la satisfacci\u00f3n? \u00bfC\u00f3mo se ve la piedad?<\/p><p>Una posible definici\u00f3n de piedad podr\u00eda ser esta: un estilo de vida que refleje constantemente el car\u00e1cter de Dios.<\/p><p>La palabra <em>devoci\u00f3n<\/em> Se encuentra aproximadamente diecis\u00e9is veces en el Nuevo Testamento, principalmente en las Ep\u00edstolas Pastorales (1 y 2 Timoteo y Tito). En 1 Timoteo 4:7\u20138, Pablo dice: <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u201cPero rechaza las f\u00e1bulas profanas y de viejas, y ejerc\u00edtate en la piedad. Porque el ejercicio f\u00edsico aprovecha poco, pero la piedad aprovecha para todo, pues promete la vida presente y la venidera.\u2019<\/span><\/p><p>Luego, en 2 Timoteo 3:5, habla de aquellos que aparentan ser piadosos pero niegan su poder. Podemos tener una apariencia externa de piedad, haciendo todo lo correcto externamente, mientras que interiormente carecemos de sustancia y autenticidad.<\/p><p>Una vida de verdadera piedad conlleva un poder intr\u00ednseco. No se trata simplemente de una vida religiosa marcada por rutinas externas, como asistir a la iglesia o participar en actividades religiosas. Si bien estas pr\u00e1cticas son buenas e importantes, no tienen el poder de transformarnos. Es importante no dejar de congregarse con otros creyentes, pero esta pr\u00e1ctica por s\u00ed sola no tiene el poder de hacernos semejantes a Cristo.<\/p><p>Volvamos a nuestra definici\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica de piedad y hag\u00e1monos una pregunta importante: \u00bfC\u00f3mo puedo hacer que mi estilo de vida refleje consistentemente el car\u00e1cter de Dios?<\/p><p>La respuesta solo se encuentra en seguir a Dios, caminar con \u00c9l diariamente y permitir que el Esp\u00edritu Santo nos transforme a la imagen de Cristo.<\/p><p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo sucede esto? Pablo nos da parte de la respuesta en Romanos 12:1\u20132: <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, 'Noto Sans', sans-serif, 'Apple Color Emoji', 'Segoe UI Emoji', 'Segoe UI Symbol', 'Noto Color Emoji';\">\u201cPor lo tanto, hermanos, les ruego por la misericordia de Dios que presenten sus cuerpos en sacrificio vivo, santo y agradable a Dios, que es su culto racional.
