Manso y humilde<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cPero el fruto del Esp\u00edritu es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fidelidad, mansedumbre, dominio propio. Contra tales cosas no hay ley.\u201d
G\u00e1latas 5:22\u201323<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

La gentileza se suele traducir como mansedumbre<\/em>. En el Nuevo Testamento, se utiliza para describir la sumisi\u00f3n a la voluntad de Dios (Col. 3:12), la disposici\u00f3n a aprender (Santiago 1:21) y la consideraci\u00f3n hacia los dem\u00e1s (Ef. 4:2).<\/p>

Vemos esta mansedumbre en la vida de Mois\u00e9s<\/span><\/span>, Especialmente en N\u00fameros 12, observamos su humildad, mansedumbre y gentileza al interceder ante el Se\u00f1or por su hermana Miriam, despu\u00e9s de que ella lo criticara y fuera castigada con lepra por el Se\u00f1or. Mois\u00e9s podr\u00eda haber sido vengativo, pero en cambio, su gentileza se manifiesta de manera admirable al clamar al Se\u00f1or por su hermana.<\/p>

La gentileza, o mansedumbre, se ilustra mejor en la vida de nuestro bendito Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas, quien se describi\u00f3 a s\u00ed mismo como \u201cmanso y humilde de coraz\u00f3n\u201d. Esta misma palabra se usa para describir al Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas en su entrada triunfal en Jerusal\u00e9n: \u201cDigan a la hija de Si\u00f3n: \u2018Miren, su Rey viene a ustedes, humilde, sentado sobre un asno, un pollino, cr\u00eda de asna\u2019\u201d (Mateo 21:5).<\/span><\/p>

El ap\u00f3stol Pablo el Ap\u00f3stol<\/span><\/span> Tambi\u00e9n se refiri\u00f3 a la mansedumbre y gentileza de Cristo cuando escribi\u00f3 a los creyentes de Corinto: \u201cAhora bien, yo mismo, Pablo, os ruego por la mansedumbre y gentileza de Cristo; yo, estando presente entre vosotros, soy humilde, pero estando ausente, soy audaz para con vosotros\u201d (2 Cor. 10:1).<\/span><\/p>

Si bien la mansedumbre, al igual que todos los dem\u00e1s aspectos del fruto del Esp\u00edritu, solo puede ser producida por el Esp\u00edritu Santo, tambi\u00e9n es algo que se nos instruye a buscar. Pablo le dice claramente a Timoteo: \u201cPero t\u00fa, hombre de Dios, huye de estas cosas y sigue la justicia, la piedad, la fe, el amor, la paciencia y la mansedumbre\u201d (1 Timoteo 6:11).<\/span><\/p>

Debemos pon\u00e9rnoslo como si nos pusi\u00e9ramos una prenda de vestir: \u201cPor tanto, como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, rev\u00edstanse de tierna misericordia, bondad, humildad, mansedumbre y paciencia\u201d (Col. 3:12).<\/span><\/p>

La gentileza influye en la forma en que hablamos con los dem\u00e1s (1 Pedro 3:15). Influye en nuestros matrimonios (1 Pedro 3:1-6). Debe influir en la forma en que tratamos a quienes han ca\u00eddo en pecado (G\u00e1latas 6:1), as\u00ed como en el liderazgo dentro de la congregaci\u00f3n en general (2 Timoteo 2:24-25).<\/p>
