El fruto de la bondad<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cPero el fruto del Esp\u00edritu es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fidelidad, mansedumbre, dominio propio. Contra tales cosas no hay ley.\u201d
G\u00e1latas 5:22\u201323<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

\u201c\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 la gente es tan mala? \u00bfQu\u00e9 pas\u00f3 con la amabilidad?\u201d, pregunt\u00f3 la dependienta del supermercado despu\u00e9s de que la clienta que estaba delante de m\u00ed fuera muy grosera. Estoy de acuerdo con ella en que la amabilidad escasea en nuestra sociedad actual, pero deber\u00eda ser evidente en la vida de los cristianos. En realidad, no hay raz\u00f3n para que seamos groseros.<\/p>

La bondad es una de las caracter\u00edsticas de Dios mismo. A menudo se la relaciona con su misericordia:<\/p>

\u201cY Jehov\u00e1 pas\u00f3 delante de \u00e9l y proclam\u00f3: \u2018Jehov\u00e1, Jehov\u00e1 Dios, misericordioso y clemente, lento para la ira y grande en bondad y verdad, que guarda misericordia a millares, que perdona la iniquidad, la transgresi\u00f3n y el pecado, que de ninguna manera deja sin castigo al culpable, que castiga la iniquidad de los padres en los hijos y en los nietos hasta la tercera y cuarta generaci\u00f3n\u2019\u201d (\u00c9xodo 34:6\u20137).<\/p><\/blockquote>

La bondad es uno de los aspectos del fruto del Esp\u00edritu que debe manifestarse en nuestras vidas. La palabra griega utilizada en el Nuevo Testamento es crestos<\/em>, que transmite la idea de una tierna preocupaci\u00f3n por los dem\u00e1s. Es un deseo genuino de tratar a los dem\u00e1s con gentileza, tal como el Se\u00f1or nos ha tratado a nosotros.<\/p>

Leemos acerca de la bondad de Dios en Efesios 2:4\u20137:<\/p>

\u201cPero Dios, que es rico en misericordia, por su gran amor con que nos am\u00f3, aun estando nosotros muertos en pecados, nos dio vida juntamente con Cristo (por gracia sois salvos), y juntamente con \u00e9l nos resucit\u00f3, y asimismo nos hizo sentar en los lugares celestiales con Cristo Jes\u00fas, para mostrar en los siglos venideros las abundantes riquezas de su gracia en su bondad para con nosotros en Cristo Jes\u00fas.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>

Se nos exhorta a \u201cser bondadosos y compasivos unos con otros, perdon\u00e1ndonos unos a otros, as\u00ed como Dios nos perdon\u00f3 a nosotros en Cristo\u201d (Efesios 4:32). Pablo tambi\u00e9n le record\u00f3 a Timoteo: \u201cEl siervo del Se\u00f1or no debe ser contencioso, sino amable con todos, apto para ense\u00f1ar y paciente\u201d (2 Timoteo 2:24).<\/p>

Basta con observar la vida del Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas como el ejemplo perfecto de lo que significa la bondad. Siempre ten\u00eda tiempo para mostrar bondad al leproso, a quien todos los dem\u00e1s consideraban impuro (Mateo 8:1-4), al ciego, al cojo y a los marginados.<\/p>

Leemos en Hechos 10:38 que \u201cDios ungi\u00f3 a Jes\u00fas de Nazaret con el Esp\u00edritu Santo y con poder, y \u00e9l anduvo haciendo el bien y sanando a todos los oprimidos por el diablo, porque Dios estaba con \u00e9l\u201d.\u201d<\/p>
