Peregrinos en el mundo<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Pedro, ap\u00f3stol de Jesucristo, a los peregrinos de la Dispersi\u00f3n en Ponto, Galacia, Capadocia, Asia y Bitinia.
<\/em>1 Pedro 1:1\u20132<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div>

El ap\u00f3stol Pedro escribe esta carta a los creyentes que viven en un mundo hostil, hostil a aquellos que desean vivir para Cristo.<\/p>

Aunque se encuentran dispersos por toda la regi\u00f3n, Pedro desea que comprendan su posici\u00f3n en Cristo. Los llama peregrinos, es decir, aquellos que no pertenecen a ese lugar, que solo est\u00e1n de paso, que no est\u00e1n en casa sino en tierra extranjera. Quer\u00eda que fueran conscientes de que su ciudadan\u00eda est\u00e1 en el cielo (Fil. 3:20) y que esta ciudadan\u00eda debe ser primordial. Quiz\u00e1s sean ciudadanos del Imperio Romano, pero en realidad son peregrinos de Dios, extranjeros espirituales que buscan una ciudad con fundamentos, cuyo arquitecto y constructor es Dios (Heb. 11:10). Esto implica que su ciudadan\u00eda terrenal es secundaria. Deb\u00edan verse a s\u00ed mismos como residentes temporales en un entorno ajeno (cf. 1 Pe. 2:11-12).<\/p>

Pedro no les dice que se retiren del mundo, a un monasterio, aislados del mundo hostil en el que viv\u00edan. En cambio, su deseo era protegerlos con la ense\u00f1anza que los fortalecer\u00eda para resistir al diablo (5:7), y \u201cestar siempre preparados para dar una respuesta a todo el que les pida raz\u00f3n de la esperanza que hay en ustedes, con mansedumbre y reverencia\u201d (3:15). El creyente de hoy nada constantemente contra la corriente de este mundo. Si perdemos de vista nuestra posici\u00f3n en este mundo, nos desanimaremos. Debemos mantener la mirada fija en la esperanza celestial, vislumbr\u00e1ndola a lo lejos, abraz\u00e1ndola y confesando que somos \u201cextranjeros y peregrinos sobre la tierra\u201d (Hebreos 11:13).<\/p>
