Sin duda, este no es el tipo de miedo. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Salom\u00f3n<\/span><\/span> se refiere a.<\/p><p data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"1174\">En nuestro lenguaje vern\u00e1culo moderno, la palabra <em data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"899\">miedo<\/em>, en el contexto en el que lo usa Salom\u00f3n, ha sido reemplazado por <em data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"982\">reverencia<\/em>, <em data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"989\">temor<\/em>, y <em data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1010\">gran respeto<\/em>. Lo que el autor de este libro quiere decir es que debemos tener una profunda reverencia y respeto por el Se\u00f1or. Literalmente, debemos sentirnos sobrecogidos y humillados por su presencia.<\/p><p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1508\">Temer a Dios incluye \u2014pero no se limita a\u2014 respetarlo y reverenciarlo. El santo temor le otorga a Dios el lugar de gloria, honor, reverencia, acci\u00f3n de gracias, alabanza y preeminencia que merece. En pocas palabras, temer a Dios es respetar su santidad odiando lo que \u00e9l odia y amando lo que \u00e9l ama, con un sano temor a desagradarle.<\/p><p data-start=\"1510\" data-end=\"1810\">Cuando tememos verdaderamente al Se\u00f1or, reconocemos que \u00c9l es el Creador y nosotros sus criaturas. \u00c9l es el Se\u00f1or y nosotros sus siervos. \u00c9l es el Padre y nosotros sus hijos. Esta actitud se manifiesta en nuestro respeto por Dios, por su Palabra y en nuestro deseo de obedecer lo que nos dice en la Biblia.<\/p><p data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"2166\">Podemos relacionar este tipo de temor con el que un ni\u00f1o siente hacia sus padres. Cuando existe el temor adecuado, el ni\u00f1o comprende que sus padres pueden disciplinarlo si desobedece. Sin embargo, por encima de ese temor est\u00e1 el saber que la desobediencia entristece a sus padres.
