As\u00ed pues, ya sea que vivamos o muramos, somos del Se\u00f1or.<br \/><\/em><strong><em>Romanos 14:8<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div><div class=\"LIN-Text\"><p>La esperanza que tenemos como seguidores de Jesucristo debe influir en todas las \u00e1reas de nuestra vida, incluyendo nuestra perspectiva sobre la muerte. El ap\u00f3stol Pablo pudo decir: \u201cPara m\u00ed, vivir es Cristo, y morir es ganancia\u201d (Filipenses 1:21). Pudo decir esto porque sab\u00eda que su esperanza estaba cimentada en un Hombre en la gloria que hab\u00eda asegurado su lugar en el cielo, entregando su vida por Pablo y por cada persona que depositara su fe en la obra consumada de Cristo en la cruz.<\/p><p>Cada d\u00eda mueren m\u00e1s de 5000 personas en todo el mundo. Algunas mueren por causas naturales, otras por accidentes tr\u00e1gicos y otras por cr\u00edmenes. Para algunos, la muerte es esperada, mientras que para otros es inesperada. Dado que el pecado entr\u00f3 en el mundo, la muerte es parte de la vida. Pero para quienes se han dado cuenta de que son pecadores y se han acercado a Dios a trav\u00e9s de su amado Hijo, el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas, la muerte es solo el medio que nos lleva a la presencia de nuestro bendito Se\u00f1or. Gracias a la esperanza en Cristo, la muerte se ve como un comienzo, no como un final. Puesto que Cristo ha vencido a la muerte (1 Corintios 15:20-28), la esperanza que tenemos en \u00c9l nos da la valent\u00eda para no temer. En su lecho de muerte, el puritano John Owen escribi\u00f3: \u201cA\u00fan estoy en la tierra de los moribundos, pero espero estar pronto en la tierra de los vivos\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>David nos recuerda que la muerte es solo una sombra (Salmo 23:4), lo que significa que la luz est\u00e1 presente. La luz que est\u00e1 presente para cada creyente es el Se\u00f1or Jesucristo. El creyente pertenece a Cristo en la vida, \u00a1y pertenece a Cristo en la muerte! Esta es la esperanza que \u00c9l nos asegur\u00f3 a cada uno de nosotros cuando entreg\u00f3 su vida por nosotros, en nuestro lugar, en la cruz.
