De hecho, es la \u00fanica oraci\u00f3n registrada en Proverbios. En ella, le pidi\u00f3 al Se\u00f1or dos cosas espec\u00edficas: integridad y contentamiento.<\/p><p>Agur deseaba vivir una vida \u00edntegra ante su Dios, y la defin\u00eda como una vida libre de falsedad y mentiras. La palabra \u00abfalsedad\u00bb significa vac\u00edo o vanidad. La palabra \u00abmentira\u00bb significa enga\u00f1o o falsedad. Estas dos palabras capturan la esencia misma de este mundo, con todas sus promesas vac\u00edas y su naturaleza enga\u00f1osa. Agur no pide ayuda para decir la verdad; pide ser protegido de la seducci\u00f3n de todo lo falso y de todo lo que no es verdad.<\/p><p>Se suele decir que \u201cla reputaci\u00f3n es lo que la gente piensa de ti; la integridad es lo que somos cuando nadie nos ve\u201d. Este mundo intentar\u00e1 apartar nuestro afecto del Se\u00f1or con falsas promesas, falsas esperanzas y falsos placeres. Pero la Palabra de Verdad, la Biblia, nos se\u00f1ala a Aquel que es la Verdad, el Se\u00f1or Jesucristo. \u00a1Agur no confiaba en s\u00ed mismo ni pon\u00eda su confianza en sus propias fuerzas!<\/p><p>Santiago nos advierte: \u201c\u00bfAcaso no saben que la amistad con el mundo es enemistad con Dios? Cualquiera, pues, que quiera ser amigo del mundo se constituye en enemigo de Dios\u201d (Santiago 4:4). David dir\u00eda: \u201cAparta mis ojos de las cosas vanas\u201d (Salmo 119:37).\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Lo m\u00e1s destacado de hoy:<br \/><\/strong>\u00bfPoseemos la sabidur\u00eda y la devoci\u00f3n de Agur? Que podamos \u201cfijar nuestra mirada en Jes\u00fas, contemplar su maravilloso rostro, y las cosas terrenales se desvanecer\u00e1n extra\u00f1amente ante la luz de su gloria y gracia\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A
