El miedo se hab\u00eda apoderado de su coraz\u00f3n, y cuando hay tal miedo, no hay fuerza para ir contra la corriente del mundo que nos rodea. Un acr\u00f3nimo para el miedo es: Fear is Faithless Energy and Retreat (El miedo es energ\u00eda sin fe y retirada). Pablo no quer\u00eda esto para Timoteo; no quer\u00eda que Timoteo se avergonzara de Cristo. Pablo le se\u00f1ala a Timoteo un recurso maravilloso que todo creyente tiene: \u00a1el Hombre en la Gloria! <em data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"912\">Cristo Jes\u00fas<\/em> Se utiliza al menos siete veces y se refiere al Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas en el cielo, a la diestra de Dios, un lugar de poder, autoridad y recursos para todo creyente, sin importar el caos que pueda existir en su cultura.<\/p><p data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1869\">Pablo comprendi\u00f3 el temor de Timoteo, pero lo anim\u00f3 compartiendo su propia experiencia y confianza, diciendo: \u201cPor esta raz\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n padezco estas cosas; sin embargo, no me averg\u00fcenzo, porque s\u00e9 en qui\u00e9n he cre\u00eddo y estoy seguro de que \u00c9l es poderoso para guardar lo que le he encomendado hasta aquel d\u00eda\u201d (2 Timoteo 1:12). En este vers\u00edculo, Pablo le recuerda a Timoteo \u2014y a nosotros\u2014 que necesitamos un conocimiento personal de nuestro Dios. \u00c9l pod\u00eda decir: \u201cS\u00e9 en qui\u00e9n he cre\u00eddo\u201d. Luego nos recuerda que debe haber una convicci\u00f3n personal: \u201cEstoy seguro de que \u00c9l es poderoso para guardar\u201d. En tercer lugar, Pablo nos anima a tener un compromiso personal: \u201cCumple con lo que te he encomendado\u201d. La confianza de Pablo no estaba en s\u00ed mismo, sino en su Dios, \u00a1que es poderoso! Esto habla del poder y la grandeza de nuestro Dios.<\/p><p data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"2616\">Cuando nos centramos en Cristo, en su poder y fortaleza, podremos aferrarnos al modelo de sanas palabras (2 Timoteo 1:13). La idea de tener un modelo de sanas palabras nos ofrece una gu\u00eda mental y subraya la importancia de saber qu\u00e9 creemos y por qu\u00e9 lo creemos. Pedro nos recuerda, como seguidores de Jesucristo, que debemos \u201csantificar a Dios el Se\u00f1or en nuestros corazones, y estar siempre preparados para presentar defensa con mansedumbre y reverencia ante todo el que nos demande raz\u00f3n de la esperanza que hay en nosotros\u201d (1 Pedro 3:15). Para ello, necesitamos saber qu\u00e9 creemos y por qu\u00e9 lo creemos.
