Si yo soy el Padre, \u00bfd\u00f3nde est\u00e1 mi honra? Y si soy el Amo, \u00bfd\u00f3nde est\u00e1 mi reverencia? Dice el Se\u00f1or de los ej\u00e9rcitos a vosotros, sacerdotes, que despreci\u00e1is mi nombre. Y vosotros dec\u00eds: \u201c\u00bfEn qu\u00e9 hemos despreciado tu nombre?\u2018\u2019<\/em><br \/><strong><em>Malaqu\u00edas 1:6<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"465\">Al perder de vista el amor de Dios, el pueblo comenz\u00f3 a olvidar su grandeza y a despreciar su nombre. Malaqu\u00edas 1:6\u20132:9 se dirige espec\u00edficamente a los sacerdotes, quienes deb\u00edan ense\u00f1ar al pueblo a honrar el car\u00e1cter y la reputaci\u00f3n de Dios. En cambio, les restaron importancia.<\/p><p data-start=\"467\" data-end=\"746\">El nombre del Se\u00f1or representa todo lo que \u00c9l es: sus atributos, su divinidad y su majestad. Malaqu\u00edas us\u00f3 la frase <em data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"588\">\u201cMi nombre\u201d<\/em> al menos ocho veces para convencer a los sacerdotes de su negligencia. Cuando preguntaron, <em data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"711\">\u201c\u00bfDe qu\u00e9 manera hemos despreciado tu nombre?\u201d<\/em> Malaqu\u00edas les respondi\u00f3 de dos maneras.<\/p><p data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"994\">En primer lugar, los sacerdotes ofrec\u00edan al Se\u00f1or lo que podr\u00edamos llamar \u201clas sobras\u201d (Malaqu\u00edas 1:6-14). Tra\u00edan animales enfermos y cojos, ofrendas que ni siquiera se atrev\u00edan a presentar a su gobernador. \u00bfC\u00f3mo se atrev\u00edan a ofrecer tales cosas al Se\u00f1or?<\/p><p data-start=\"996\" data-end=\"1477\">Antes de juzgarlos con demasiada dureza, deber\u00edamos examinar nuestras propias vidas. \u00bfHay \u00e1reas en las que le damos al Se\u00f1or lo que nos sobra? \u00bfTratamos su nombre como algo de poco valor? Es f\u00e1cil dedicarle el domingo \u2014y tal vez una noche entre semana\u2014, pero el Se\u00f1or desea que nos presentemos como sacrificios vivos, santos y agradables a \u00e9l, todos los d\u00edas de nuestra vida (Romanos 12:1). Podemos olvidar f\u00e1cilmente que cada aspecto de nuestra vida debe ser coherente con el honor de su nombre.<\/p><p data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1761\">En segundo lugar, estos sacerdotes se apropiaban de lo mejor para s\u00ed mismos. Hab\u00edan perdido de vista el privilegio de ser representantes de Dios y se hab\u00edan apartado de su ley (Malaqu\u00edas 2:1-9). Malaqu\u00edas 2:5-7 describe seis caracter\u00edsticas esenciales para quien desea representar a Dios con fidelidad.<\/p><p data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"2448\">Primero, debemos tener un temor reverente al Se\u00f1or. Cuando se pierde este temor, nuestra luz se aten\u00faa y nuestra influencia en un mundo oscuro disminuye considerablemente. Segundo, debemos conocer la verdad y proclamarla. La Escritura nos exhorta a presentarnos ante Dios como obreros que no tienen de qu\u00e9 avergonzarse, que interpretan correctamente la palabra de verdad y que predican la Palabra fielmente (2 Timoteo 2:15; 4:2). Tercero, estamos llamados a apartarnos del pecado y permanecer separados de \u00e9l. <em data-start=\"2217\" data-end=\"2245\">\u201cHuye tambi\u00e9n de las pasiones juveniles\u201d<\/em> (2 Timoteo 2:22). Cuarto, debemos caminar diariamente con Dios en su Palabra y en oraci\u00f3n. Quinto, debemos guiar a otros hacia Cristo, no hacia nosotros mismos. Sexto, nunca debemos olvidar que somos mensajeros del Se\u00f1or.<\/p><p data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2657\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><strong>Lo m\u00e1s destacado de hoy:<\/strong><br \/>Los sacerdotes en tiempos de Malaqu\u00edas fallaron en estas responsabilidades esenciales y deshonraron a Dios.
