Filipenses 2:10<\/strong><\/p>

Nombre precioso \u2013 Dado desde el cielo<\/strong><\/p>

Este nombre es precioso porque no se lo dieron Mar\u00eda ni Jos\u00e9. No era un nombre familiar transmitido de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n. \u00a1El nombre de Jes\u00fas le fue dado desde el Cielo!<\/p>

El \u00e1ngel primero le dio el nombre de \u201cJes\u00fas\u201d a Mar\u00eda, y luego en Mateo 1:21<\/em>, a Jos\u00e9. Repetidamente a lo largo del Evangelio de Juan, el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas afirma que \u00c9l descendi\u00f3 del Cielo (Juan 3:13; 4:34; 6:41, 51, 58<\/em>\u00c9l descendi\u00f3 del Padre, y tambi\u00e9n su precioso nombre, \u00a1y el Padre conoce el valor de ese nombre!<\/p>

Nombre precioso \u2013 Grande en la historia<\/strong><\/p>

Jes\u00fas es la forma griega del nombre hebreo. Yeshua<\/em>, lo cual es equivalente a Josu\u00e9<\/em> en el Antiguo Testamento y significa \u201cJehov\u00e1 es salvaci\u00f3n\u201d.\u201d<\/p>

Dos hombres notables llamados Josu\u00e9 en el Antiguo Testamento ayudan a ilustrar la gracia que se encuentra en nuestro Se\u00f1or Jesucristo:<\/p>

  1. Josu\u00e9, hijo de Nun<\/strong> \u2014\u00c9l gui\u00f3 al pueblo de Dios a la Tierra Prometida, siguiendo a Mois\u00e9s, el legislador. Josu\u00e9 sirve como una poderosa imagen de la gracia de Dios en acci\u00f3n. Mois\u00e9s, que representaba la ley, no pod\u00eda entrar en la tierra del descanso; de igual manera, la ley no puede brindar descanso espiritual. Pero Jes\u00fas nos invita: \u201cVengan a m\u00ed todos ustedes que est\u00e1n cansados y agobiados, y yo les dar\u00e9 descanso.\u00bb. <\/span>Tomad mi yugo sobre vosotros y aprended de m\u00ed, que soy manso y humilde de coraz\u00f3n, y hallar\u00e9is descanso para vuestras almas.\u201d<\/span>Mateo 11:28\u201329<\/em>) <\/span>\u00c9l pod\u00eda decir esto porque \u00c9l era \u201clleno de gracia y verdad\u201d<\/em> (Juan 1:14<\/em>), para: \u201cLa ley fue dada por medio de Mois\u00e9s, pero la gracia y la verdad vinieron por medio de Jesucristo\u201d (<\/span>Juan 1:17<\/em>).<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  2. Josu\u00e9, el sacerdote en Zacar\u00edas 3<\/strong> \u2013 Este Josu\u00e9 se qued\u00f3 corto, simbolizando nuestra debilidad humana. Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n nos se\u00f1ala a nuestro Gran Sumo Sacerdote, que ahora se sienta a la diestra de la Majestad en las Alturas (Hebreos 4:14<\/em>): \u201cPero vemos a Jes\u00fas, que fue hecho un poco inferior a los \u00e1ngeles, coronado de gloria y honra por el sufrimiento de la muerte, para que, por la gracia de Dios, gustara la muerte por todos.\u201d<\/span>Hebreos 2:9<\/em>)<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ol>

    Nombre precioso \u2013 Glorioso en honor<\/strong><\/p>

    Pablo declara esta verdad sin ambig\u00fcedad en Filipenses 2:5\u201311 <\/em>donde afirma: \u201cPor lo tanto, Dios tambi\u00e9n lo exalt\u00f3 sobremanera y le dio un nombre que est\u00e1 por encima de todo nombre\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>

    Aunque \u201cJes\u00fas\u201d fuera un nombre com\u00fan en aquella cultura, debido a qui\u00e9n es \u00c9l y a lo que ha logrado, su significado nunca ha sido el mismo. \u00a1Dios Padre ha exaltado, ensalzado y glorificado el nombre de Jes\u00fas!<\/p>

    Nombre precioso \u2013 Ayuda bondadosa<\/strong><\/p>

    El ciego Bartimeo encontr\u00f3 en el nombre de Jes\u00fas una fuente de ayuda misericordiosa, clamando: \u201c\u00a1Jes\u00fas, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de m\u00ed!\u201d<\/span>Marcos 10:47<\/em>)<\/span><\/p>

    Hoy, t\u00fa y yo podemos clamar al Se\u00f1or Jesucristo y encontrar ayuda en nuestros momentos de necesidad. La misma misericordia (bondad amorosa) que encontr\u00f3 Bartimeo, la encontramos en el propiciatorio de Cristo. \u201cPorque no tenemos un sumo sacerdote que no pueda compadecerse de nuestras debilidades, <\/span>sino que fue tentado en todo seg\u00fan nuestra semejanza, pero sin pecado. <\/span>Acerqu\u00e9monos, pues, con confianza al trono de la gracia, para alcanzar misericordia y hallar gracia para el oportuno socorro.\u201dHebreos 4:15\u201316<\/em>)<\/p>
