Significa \u201crevelar lo que estaba oculto o disimulado\u201d o \u201cdar a conocer lo que antes se desconoc\u00eda\u201d. Juan usa esta palabra al menos cuatro veces en referencia a la encarnaci\u00f3n del Se\u00f1or Jesucristo.<\/p><p data-start=\"574\" data-end=\"894\">Seg\u00fan nuestro vers\u00edculo, entendemos que cuando el Se\u00f1or Jesucristo se hizo hombre, se revel\u00f3 la vida eterna \u2014que estaba con el Padre\u2014. Debemos detenernos a meditar en esta verdad. Al considerar esta vida eterna que se manifest\u00f3, debemos hacernos la siguiente pregunta: <em data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"833\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9?<\/em> \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 vino Jes\u00fas a este mundo? \u00bfPara manifestar la vida eterna?<\/p><p data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"944\">La respuesta es sencilla: porque era necesario.<\/p><p data-start=\"946\" data-end=\"1480\">En Mateo 4:16, el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas cit\u00f3 Isa\u00edas 9:2, diciendo:, <em data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1139\">\u201cEl pueblo que estaba en tinieblas ha visto una gran luz, y sobre los que estaban en la regi\u00f3n de sombra de muerte ha amanecido la luz.\u201d<\/em> Isa\u00edas escribi\u00f3 originalmente:, <em data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1203\">\u201cLa gente que caminaba en tinieblas.\u201d<\/em> Aqu\u00ed no hay ninguna contradicci\u00f3n. El Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas enfatiz\u00f3 nuestra posici\u00f3n: nosotros <em data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1283\">se sent\u00f3<\/em> en la oscuridad\u2014mientras Isa\u00edas enfatizaba nuestra pr\u00e1ctica o conducta\u2014nosotros <em data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1355\">camin\u00f3<\/em> en la oscuridad. Somos pecadores tanto por naturaleza como por pr\u00e1ctica, y debido a nuestra condici\u00f3n de perdici\u00f3n, est\u00e1bamos en completa oscuridad.<\/p><p data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1840\">Esta oscuridad se ilustra en la novena plaga de \u00c9xodo 10:21, donde leemos que la oscuridad que Dios envi\u00f3 sobre la tierra de Egipto era tan densa que se pod\u00eda sentir. Esto representa a la humanidad perdida en el pecado. Satan\u00e1s es descrito como el gobernante de las tinieblas (Efesios 6:12), y el infierno se describe como un lugar de tinieblas exteriores (Mateo 8:12; 22:13; 25:30).<\/p><p data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"2128\">Las Escrituras nos recuerdan que <em data-start=\"1868\" data-end=\"1917\">\u201cDios es luz y en \u00c9l no hay tinieblas en absoluto\u201d.\u201d<\/em> (1 Juan 1:5). Cuando el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas vino al mundo, leemos:, <em data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2114\">\u201cEn \u00c9l estaba la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres. Y la luz resplandece en las tinieblas, y las tinieblas no la comprendieron\u201d.\u201d<\/em> (Juan 1:4\u20135).<\/p><p data-start=\"2130\" data-end=\"2443\">Cuando el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas entr\u00f3 en el tiempo, la vida de Dios se manifest\u00f3. Como Juan declara m\u00e1s tarde, <em data-start=\"2225\" data-end=\"2428\">\u201cSabemos que el Hijo de Dios ha venido y nos ha dado entendimiento para que conozcamos al Verdadero; y estamos en el Verdadero, en su Hijo Jesucristo. Este es el verdadero Dios y la vida eterna.\u201d<\/em> (1 Juan 5:20).<\/p><p data-start=\"2445\" data-end=\"2686\"><strong>Lo m\u00e1s destacado de hoy:<\/strong><br \/>Lo invisible se hizo visible. El Dios inaccesible se acerc\u00f3 a nosotros cuando la vida eterna se manifest\u00f3 en Cristo.
