Pero Marta estaba muy ocupada con los quehaceres, y acerc\u00e1ndose a Jes\u00fas, le dijo: \u201cSe\u00f1or, \u00bfno te importa que mi hermana me haya dejado sola para servir? Dile, pues, que me ayude\u201d. Jes\u00fas le respondi\u00f3: \u201cMarta, Marta, est\u00e1s preocupada y angustiada por muchas cosas. Pero solo una cosa es necesaria, y Mar\u00eda ha escogido la mejor parte, la cual nadie le quitar\u00e1\u201d.\u201d

El encuentro de Marta con el Se\u00f1or es muy instructivo para todos nosotros. Ella es un hermoso ejemplo de quien aprendi\u00f3 a servir. Leemos sobre su servicio aqu\u00ed, en este pasaje, luego en Juan 11 y tambi\u00e9n en Juan 12.<\/p>

En Lucas 10, Marta necesitaba aprender \u2014como Mar\u00eda ya lo sab\u00eda\u2014 que el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas es el Profeta a cuyos pies debemos sentarnos y recibir instrucci\u00f3n. En Juan 11, Marta acudi\u00f3 al Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas con el coraz\u00f3n afligido por la muerte de su hermano L\u00e1zaro, y experiment\u00f3 su cuidado sacerdotal al mostrarle su amor. Luego, en Juan 12, vemos a Marta sirviendo, a Mar\u00eda ungiendo al Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas y a L\u00e1zaro sentado con \u00e9l; cada uno nos muestra el privilegio y la posici\u00f3n del seguidor de Cristo hoy. Ahora podemos adorar a Aquel ante quien toda rodilla se doblar\u00e1 como Rey de reyes y Se\u00f1or de se\u00f1ores. As\u00ed, en las vidas de Marta y Mar\u00eda, vemos a nuestro Se\u00f1or como Profeta, Sacerdote y Rey.<\/p>

Pero lo que resulta especialmente instructivo en el vers\u00edculo de hoy es c\u00f3mo podemos servir al Se\u00f1or. Podemos servirle como lo hizo Marta aqu\u00ed \u2014por deber\u2014 o podemos servirle, como ella lo hace en Juan 12, por devoci\u00f3n. Se ha dicho que existe el servicio de atracci\u00f3n, el servicio de distracci\u00f3n, el servicio de acci\u00f3n y el servicio de satisfacci\u00f3n.<\/p>

Cuando nos acercamos al Se\u00f1or y deseamos adorarlo mediante nuestro servicio, su persona y lo que ha hecho por nosotros nos atraen. Pero a veces nos ocupamos tanto en nuestro servicio que perdemos de vista a Aquel a quien servimos. Cuando nos distraemos, nuestro servicio se convierte en mera actividad: rutina y movimiento sin devoci\u00f3n.<\/p>

Pero el buena parte<\/em> Lo que nadie puede quitarle es servirle con devoci\u00f3n. Este es el servicio que verdaderamente satisface.<\/p>

Cuando el servicio es meramente un acto de servicio, se convierte en una rutina religiosa; pero cuando surge de una relaci\u00f3n vibrante y genuina con el Se\u00f1or, se convierte en adoraci\u00f3n. Marta aprendi\u00f3 esto, y lo demuestra de forma admirable en Juan 12.<\/p>
