\u00c9l y todos los que estaban con \u00e9l quedaron asombrados por la gran pesca que hab\u00edan hecho; lo mismo les sucedi\u00f3 a Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, socios de Sim\u00f3n. Jes\u00fas le dijo a Sim\u00f3n: \u201cNo temas. De ahora en adelante ser\u00e1s pescador de hombres\u201d. As\u00ed que, cuando llevaron las barcas a tierra, lo dejaron todo y lo siguieron.
Lucas 5:9\u201311<\/strong>
<\/em><\/p>

Volvemos a Lucas 5:1\u201311 por \u00faltima vez para hacernos una pregunta final. El encuentro de Pedro con Cristo nos ha llevado a preguntarnos: \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos al fracaso?\u201d<\/em> (vv. 1\u20132), \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos a la autoridad?\u201d<\/em> (vv. 3\u20135), y \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos al \u00e9xito?\u201d <\/em>Ahora, al considerar los vers\u00edculos finales de este encuentro, nos preguntamos:, \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos a una vida de fe?\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Pedro y los que estaban con \u00e9l fueron testigos oculares del gran poder del Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas, y esto les caus\u00f3 temor. El Se\u00f1or no solo dijo, \u201cNo tengas miedo\u201d,\u201d<\/em> Calmando sus corazones y mentes ansiosas, les dio tambi\u00e9n un nuevo llamamiento: \u201cDe ahora en adelante, atrapar\u00e1s hombres.\u201d<\/em> Es interesante observar que anteriormente, en los vers\u00edculos 4 y 9, la palabra para "atrapar" conlleva la idea de atrapar para matar, pero aqu\u00ed conlleva la idea de atrapar para salvar.<\/p>

El temor no tendr\u00eda cabida en la vida y obra a la que el Se\u00f1or los llamaba. En el Evangelio de Lucas, vemos este tema recurrente de \u201cNo tengas miedo\u201d<\/em> siete veces (1:13, 30; 2:10; 5:10; 8:50; 12:7, 32). El Se\u00f1or nos llama a vivir por fe, no por temor: \u201cSin fe es imposible agradarle, porque quien se acerca a Dios debe creer que \u00e9l existe y que recompensa a quienes lo buscan con diligencia.\u201d<\/em> (Hebreos 11:6)<\/p>

\u00bfC\u00f3mo desarrollamos esta fe? De la misma manera que lo hizo Pedro: \u201cA tu palabra\u201d<\/em> (Lucas 5:5). \u201cLa fe viene por el o\u00edr, y el o\u00edr, por la palabra de Dios.\u201d<\/em> (Romanos 10:17)<\/p>

Para vivir una vida de fe, debemos confiar en la Palabra del Se\u00f1or. Vivir seg\u00fan su Palabra nos fortalece para ser testigos de su luz en un mundo oscuro y moribundo. Este mundo est\u00e1 lleno de quienes viven con miedo d\u00eda tras d\u00eda. Pero: \u201cDios no nos ha dado un esp\u00edritu de temor, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio.\u201d<\/em> (2 Timoteo 1:7)<\/p>

El anciano ap\u00f3stol Juan tambi\u00e9n nos recuerda: \u201cEn el amor no hay temor; sino que el amor perfecto echa fuera el temor, porque el temor implica castigo. Pero el que teme no ha sido perfeccionado en el amor.\u201d<\/em> (1 Juan 4:18)<\/p>
