Luego subi\u00f3 a una de las barcas, que era de Sim\u00f3n, y le pidi\u00f3 que se alejara un poco de la costa. Se sent\u00f3 y ense\u00f1\u00f3 a la multitud desde la barca. Mientras continuamos examinando este encuentro con Cristo que se encuentra en los primeros once vers\u00edculos de Lucas 5, ya nos hemos preguntado:, \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos al fracaso?\u201d<\/em> (vv. 1\u20132). Ahora preguntemos, \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos a la autoridad?\u201d<\/em> (vv. 3\u20135).<\/p>

Estos pescadores experimentados llevaban toda la noche pescando y no hab\u00edan pescado nada. Sin duda estaban agotados tras una larga jornada y probablemente frustrados por la falta de resultados. Entonces aparece el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas, un maestro itinerante, carpintero de oficio (Marcos 6:3), y convierte la barca de Pedro en un p\u00falpito.<\/p>

El maestro b\u00edblico J. Vernon McGee dijo una vez:, \u201cCada p\u00falpito es un barco de pesca, un lugar para predicar la Palabra de Dios e intentar pescar.\u201d<\/em> En ese momento, el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas hace precisamente eso: utiliza la barca de Pedro para ense\u00f1ar a las multitudes.<\/p>

Pero la siguiente instrucci\u00f3n pudo haber sido dif\u00edcil de aceptar para Pedro. Despu\u00e9s de haber terminado de ense\u00f1ar, Jes\u00fas le dijo:, \u201cL\u00e1nzate a lo profundo y echa tus redes para pescar.\u201d<\/em> La respuesta de Peter era comprensible. Probablemente hab\u00eda pasado la mayor parte de su vida pescando. Su experiencia le dec\u00eda que intentarlo de nuevo no ten\u00eda sentido. Por eso respondi\u00f3:, \u201cMaestro, hemos trabajado toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Pero Pedro no se detuvo ah\u00ed. Aunque la orden iba en contra de su experiencia, su l\u00f3gica y su agotamiento, a\u00f1adi\u00f3:, \u201cSin embargo, a Tu palabra echar\u00e9 la red.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Aqu\u00ed hay una lecci\u00f3n para nosotros: Sin el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas, podemos trabajar toda la noche y aun as\u00ed terminar con las redes vac\u00edas (ver Juan 15:5).<\/p>

Pero cuando Pedro obedeci\u00f3, el resultado fue abrumador. Las redes se llenaron tanto que comenzaron a romperse, y las barcas comenzaron a hundirse bajo el peso (vv. 6-7).<\/p>
