C\u00f3mo mantener las redes limpias<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As\u00ed sucedi\u00f3 que, mientras la multitud se agolpaba a su alrededor para o\u00edr la palabra de Dios, Jes\u00fas se detuvo junto al lago de Genesaret y vio dos barcas junto al lago; pero los pescadores se hab\u00edan alejado de ellas y estaban lavando sus redes.

<\/em><\/p>

La vida de Pedro nos ofrece muchas lecciones. Una de ellas se encuentra al comienzo de sus encuentros con el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas. Al leer los primeros once vers\u00edculos del cap\u00edtulo cinco de Lucas, podemos plantearnos algunas preguntas: \u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos al fracaso (vv. 1-2)? \u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos a la autoridad (vv. 3-5)? \u00bfC\u00f3mo respondemos al \u00e9xito (vv. 6-8)? Y, por \u00faltimo, \u00bfc\u00f3mo respondemos a una vida de fe (vv. 9-11)?<\/p>

Hoy, consideremos c\u00f3mo respondemos a falla<\/strong>. Para muchos, el fracaso resulta insoportable. Algunos lo ven como el final del camino. Pero para quien lo entrega todo a Cristo \u2014incluso el fracaso\u2014, este no tiene por qu\u00e9 ser definitivo. El presidente Theodore Roosevelt dijo una vez: \u201cEl \u00fanico que nunca se equivoca es el que nunca hace nada\u201d.\u201d<\/p>

Estos pescadores experimentados regresaron tras una larga noche de trabajo con las redes vac\u00edas. Sim\u00f3n (Pedro) testificar\u00eda m\u00e1s tarde: \u201cHemos trabajado toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada\u201d (v. 5). Para nosotros, que consideramos la pesca un deporte o un pasatiempo, es f\u00e1cil pasar por alto que este era su sustento. Redes vac\u00edas significaban la falta de ingresos, la imposibilidad de cubrir sus necesidades diarias.<\/p>

\u00bfPero qu\u00e9 estaban haciendo? Lavaban sus redes. Se preparaban para salir de nuevo. Limpiar las redes no era cosa de hombres que se hab\u00edan dado por vencidos. Era cosa de quienes comprend\u00edan la importancia de tener redes limpias. Si no se cuidaban, las algas y los restos vegetales pod\u00edan secarse dentro de ellas, y peque\u00f1os animales pod\u00edan perforar las fibras. Esto debilitaba y pudr\u00eda las redes, dificultando el \u00e9xito futuro.<\/p>

As\u00ed como era importante para estos pescadores no rendirse, sino lavar sus redes, tambi\u00e9n es importante para nosotros no permitir que los contratiempos, fracasos u obst\u00e1culos \u2014grandes o peque\u00f1os\u2014 nos hagan desistir. Debemos llevar un registro breve de nuestros pecados, confes\u00e1ndolos ante el Se\u00f1or (1 Juan 1:9). Debemos estar atentos, \u201cpara que nadie se quede corto de la gracia de Dios\u201d (Hebreos 12:15).<\/p>
