Un vagabundo que trajo consigo una tormenta.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u201cPero Jehov\u00e1 envi\u00f3 un fuerte viento sobre el mar, y se desat\u00f3 una gran tempestad sobre el mar, de tal manera que el barco estaba a punto de naufragar.\u201d<\/em>
Jon\u00e1s 1:4<\/strong><\/p>

Todos conocemos la historia de Jon\u00e1s y el gran pez, pero podemos aprender muchas lecciones de ella. El libro de Jon\u00e1s presenta tres temas principales:<\/p>

  1. Jon\u00e1s huyendo de su llamado a predicar el arrepentimiento,<\/p><\/li>

  2. la historia del pez como un tipo de la muerte y resurrecci\u00f3n de Cristo, y<\/p><\/li>

  3. La peculiar respuesta de Jon\u00e1s al arrepentimiento de los ninivitas.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

    El libro comienza con la palabra del SE\u00d1OR que llega a Jon\u00e1s, instruy\u00e9ndolo: \u201cLev\u00e1ntate, ve a N\u00ednive, la gran ciudad, y clama contra ella, porque su maldad ha llegado hasta m\u00ed.\u201d<\/em> En contraste con la gracia en el coraz\u00f3n de un Dios que es \u201cPaciencia para con nosotros, no queriendo que ninguno perezca, sino que todos procedan al arrepentimiento\u201d.\u201d<\/em> (2 Pedro 3:9), Jon\u00e1s desobedeci\u00f3. En lugar de obedecer, \u201cJon\u00e1s se levant\u00f3 para huir a Tarsis, lejos de la presencia del Se\u00f1or. Baj\u00f3 a Jope y hall\u00f3 un barco que iba a Tarsis; pag\u00f3 el pasaje y subi\u00f3 a bordo para ir con ellos a Tarsis, lejos de la presencia del Se\u00f1or.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

    Siempre hay un precio que pagar por la desobediencia, y la desobediencia siempre es un paso atr\u00e1s que nos aleja de la voluntad de Dios. Dos veces en el vers\u00edculo 3 leemos que Jon\u00e1s \u201cbaj\u00f3.\u201d<\/em> Volvemos a ver este patr\u00f3n descendente en el vers\u00edculo 5: \u201cPero Jon\u00e1s hab\u00eda bajado a la parte m\u00e1s profunda de la barca, se hab\u00eda acostado y estaba profundamente dormido.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

    A pesar del coraz\u00f3n rebelde de Jon\u00e1s, leemos en el vers\u00edculo de hoy: \u201cPero Jehov\u00e1 envi\u00f3 un fuerte viento sobre el mar, y se desat\u00f3 una gran tempestad sobre el mar, de tal manera que el barco estaba a punto de naufragar.\u201d<\/em> Los marineros experimentados se asustaron tanto que cada hombre comenz\u00f3 a clamar a su dios. Cuando vieron a Jon\u00e1s durmiendo durante la tormenta, se asombraron y dijeron:, \u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 quieres decir, durmiente? Lev\u00e1ntate, invoca a tu Dios; tal vez tu Dios se apiade de nosotros, para que no perezcamos.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

    Cuando descubrieron que la tormenta era el resultado de la desobediencia de Jon\u00e1s, tuvieron much\u00edsimo miedo y dijeron:, \u201c\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 has hecho esto?\u201d<\/em> Porque Jon\u00e1s les hab\u00eda dicho que hu\u00eda de la presencia del Se\u00f1or. La tormenta se aviv\u00f3 a\u00fan m\u00e1s (vv. 11, 13), y en lugar de arrepentirse, Jon\u00e1s prefiri\u00f3 ser arrojado por la borda y morir.<\/p>

    Pero el Se\u00f1or ten\u00eda un prop\u00f3sito y estaba obrando en la vida de su siervo. \u00c9l tambi\u00e9n tiene un prop\u00f3sito y un plan para tu vida. No huyas de tu Dios; vu\u00e9lvete a \u00c9l y perm\u00edtele obrar en ti y a trav\u00e9s de ti.<\/p>
