\u201cNo te has complacido en sacrificios ni ofrendas, pero me has abierto los o\u00eddos. No me has pedido holocaustos ni sacrificios por el pecado. Entonces dije: \u2018He aqu\u00ed, he venido; en el rollo del libro est\u00e1 escrito de m\u00ed: Me deleito en hacer tu voluntad, Dios m\u00edo; tu ley est\u00e1 en mi coraz\u00f3n\u2019\u201d.\u201d<\/em>
Salmo 40:6\u20138<\/strong><\/p>

El Salmo 40 es considerado un Salmo Mesi\u00e1nico porque habla prof\u00e9ticamente del Mes\u00edas, el Se\u00f1or Jesucristo. Esto se confirma en Hebreos 10:1, 4\u20137:<\/p>

\u201cPorque la ley, que tiene solo una sombra de los bienes venideros y no la imagen misma de las cosas, jam\u00e1s puede, mediante los mismos sacrificios que se ofrecen continuamente a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o, perfeccionar a los que se acercan\u2026 Pues es imposible que la sangre de toros y machos cabr\u00edos quite los pecados. Por eso, al venir al mundo, dijo: \u2018Sacrificio y ofrenda no quisiste, sino que me preparaste un cuerpo. En holocaustos y sacrificios por el pecado no te complaciste. Entonces dije: \u201cHe aqu\u00ed que he venido \u2014en el rollo del libro est\u00e1 escrito de m\u00ed\u2014 para hacer tu voluntad, oh Dios\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>

Algunas traducciones no incluyen la frase \u201cpero t\u00fa\u201d en el Salmo 40; sin embargo, nos ayuda a ver el contraste que Dios establece entre los sacrificios del Antiguo Testamento y la ofrenda del Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas. Esto se vuelve a\u00fan m\u00e1s claro cuando leemos en Hebreos, \u201cpero me has preparado un cuerpo.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Dios no se complac\u00eda en los sacrificios y ofrendas del Antiguo Testamento, como se afirma en el Salmo 40, porque esos sacrificios no pod\u00edan quitar los pecados, como se explica en Hebreos 10. Por lo tanto, Dios Padre prepar\u00f3 un cuerpo para su Hijo, el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas. En el Salmo 40 leemos:, \u201cPero T\u00fa me has dado un o\u00eddo atento\u201d,\u201d<\/em> que literalmente significa: \u201cMe has hecho espigas\u201d. El Padre prepar\u00f3 un cuerpo f\u00edsico para el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas para que \u00c9l pudiera cumplir su voluntad. Hebreos contin\u00faa diciendo:, \u201cPor esa voluntad hemos sido santificados mediante la ofrenda del cuerpo de Jesucristo hecha una vez para siempre\u201d.\u201d<\/em> (Hebreos 10:10).<\/p>

Debido a que el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas vino al mundo \u2014viniendo en semejanza de hombre, pero sin pecado\u2014 \u00c9l pudo ser ese sacrificio perfecto por el pecado, un aroma grato ofrecido a Dios (Efesios 5:1-2). Por su sacrificio, \u201cEste hombre, despu\u00e9s de haber ofrecido un solo sacrificio por los pecados para siempre, se sent\u00f3 a la diestra de Dios\u201d.\u201d<\/em> (Hebreos 10:12).<\/p>
