\u201cSe negaron a obedecer y no se acordaron de las maravillas que hab\u00edas hecho entre ellos. En su rebeld\u00eda, endurecieron su cerviz y, en su opresi\u00f3n, designaron a un l\u00edder para que los devolviera a la esclavitud. Pero t\u00fa eres Dios, dispuesto a perdonar, clemente y misericordioso, lento para la ira y grande en bondad, y no los abandonaste.\u201d<\/em>
Nehem\u00edas 9:17<\/strong><\/p>

La historia de la naci\u00f3n de Israel en relaci\u00f3n con su Dios ha sido como una monta\u00f1a rusa. En un momento le suplican al Se\u00f1or que los libre, y tan pronto como \u00c9l responde a sus oraciones, comienzan a desobedecerle. Vemos este patr\u00f3n claramente a lo largo de la historia. \u00e9xodo<\/em>, N\u00fameros<\/em>, y Jueces<\/em> en particular. Debido a su continua desobediencia, el Se\u00f1or permiti\u00f3 que fueran llevados cautivos durante setenta a\u00f1os. Hacia el final de esos setenta a\u00f1os, el Se\u00f1or trajo un remanente de regreso a la tierra para reconstruir. Vemos esta reconstrucci\u00f3n en los libros de Nehem\u00edas<\/em> y Esdras.<\/em><\/p>

En Nehem\u00edas 9<\/em>, leemos una maravillosa oraci\u00f3n de Nehem\u00edas, una de las doce oraciones registradas en el libro. Esto nos recuerda que el camino de la recuperaci\u00f3n es a trav\u00e9s del arrepentimiento. En este cap\u00edtulo, Nehem\u00edas relata la historia de Israel, y en el vers\u00edculo de hoy, espec\u00edficamente tiene en mente lo que encontramos en N\u00fameros 14.<\/em> Si bien vemos la falta de confianza y obediencia de Israel, tambi\u00e9n aprendemos algo sobre nuestro Dios. \u00c9l est\u00e1 dispuesto a perdonar. Es bondadoso y misericordioso. Es lento para la ira y abundante en bondad hacia su pueblo. \u00a1Su propia naturaleza no le permite abandonar a los suyos!<\/p>

Incluso cuando ellos no siguieron a su Dios, \u00c9l permaneci\u00f3 fiel, porque no puede negarse a s\u00ed mismo. Esto es lo que Pablo le escribi\u00f3 a Timoteo en 2 Timoteo 2:13.<\/em> El vers\u00edculo de hoy nos recuerda la naturaleza y el car\u00e1cter mismo de nuestro Dios. Tambi\u00e9n nos asegura que el fracaso nunca es definitivo. Nunca debemos olvidar qui\u00e9n es nuestro Dios: \u00c9l es el mismo ayer, hoy y siempre. \u00c9l es el Se\u00f1or, y \u00c9l no cambia (Malaqu\u00edas 3:6; Hebreos 13:8<\/em>).<\/p>

Tal vez te encuentres en un lugar de fracaso. Tal vez te hayas alejado del Se\u00f1or. Recuerda el \u201cPero Dios\u201d de hoy. Nos habla de Su fidelidad. Recuerda, \u201cSi confesamos nuestros pecados, \u00c9l es fiel y justo para perdonarnos nuestros pecados y limpiarnos de toda maldad.\u201d<\/em> (1 Juan 1:9<\/em>).<\/p>
