A veces, incluso puede sentirse como una monta\u00f1a rusa. Esta fue sin duda la experiencia de Jacob. Gran parte de sus &quot;altibajos&quot; fueron culpa suya. Su nombre significaba <em data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"513\">suplantador<\/em> o <em data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"528\">enga\u00f1ador.<\/em> Incluso desde el vientre materno, cuando agarraba el tal\u00f3n de su hermano, parec\u00eda decidido a urdir intrigas para salir adelante.<\/p><p data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"1257\">Jacob vivi\u00f3 gran parte de su vida mediante el enga\u00f1o. Enga\u00f1\u00f3 a su hermano Esa\u00fa para privarlo de su primogenitura (G\u00e9nesis 25:29-34). Enga\u00f1\u00f3 a su padre Isaac para obtener la bendici\u00f3n del primog\u00e9nito (G\u00e9nesis 27). No es de extra\u00f1ar que tuviera que huir para salvar su vida de la ira de Esa\u00fa (G\u00e9nesis 27:41-46). Sin embargo, en G\u00e9nesis 28, Jacob se encontr\u00f3 con el Se\u00f1or de una manera que comenz\u00f3 a transformar su vida. M\u00e1s tarde, al conocer a la familia de Lab\u00e1n, se enamor\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente de Raquel y accedi\u00f3 a trabajar siete a\u00f1os para casarse con ella. Pero Lab\u00e1n, el padre de Raquel, enga\u00f1\u00f3 a Jacob, sustituy\u00e9ndola por Lea (G\u00e9nesis 29). El pasado de Jacob lo hab\u00eda alcanzado: estaba cosechando lo que hab\u00eda sembrado.<\/p><p data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1617\">Para cuando llegamos al vers\u00edculo de hoy, Jacob est\u00e1 de nuevo huyendo. Esta vez, sin embargo, segu\u00eda las instrucciones del Se\u00f1or de regresar a casa. Al hablar con Raquel, admiti\u00f3 que su padre estaba en contra suya, pero luego a\u00f1adi\u00f3: <em data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1534\">\u201cPero Dios no le permiti\u00f3 hacerme da\u00f1o.\u201d<\/em> Jacob comenzaba a comprender que Dios es soberano y que est\u00e1 obrando en su vida.<\/p><p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1840\">Esta verdad tambi\u00e9n nos sirve de recordatorio. Sin importar lo que suceda en nuestras vidas, nada escapa al control de Dios. \u00c9l tiene un plan divino, \u00a1y nada puede frustrarlo! Pablo expres\u00f3 esta misma confianza cuando escribi\u00f3:<\/p><p data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"2339\"><em data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"2321\">\u201c\u00bfQu\u00e9 diremos, pues, a esto? Si Dios est\u00e1 con nosotros, \u00bfqui\u00e9n contra nosotros? El que no escatim\u00f3 ni a su propio Hijo, sino que lo entreg\u00f3 por todos nosotros, \u00bfc\u00f3mo no nos dar\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n con \u00e9l todas las cosas? \u00bfQui\u00e9n acusar\u00e1 a los escogidos de Dios? Dios es el que justifica. \u00bfQui\u00e9n condena? Cristo es el que muri\u00f3, y m\u00e1s a\u00fan, el que resucit\u00f3, el que est\u00e1 a la diestra de Dios, el que intercede por nosotros. \u00bfQui\u00e9n nos separar\u00e1 del amor de Cristo?\u201d<\/em> (Romanos 8:31\u201335).<\/p><p data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2371\">En otras palabras: <em data-start=\"2357\" data-end=\"2369\">\u201c\u00a1Pero Dios!\u201d<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2371\"><strong>Lo m\u00e1s destacado de hoy:<\/strong><br \/>Dios es soberano sobre cada situaci\u00f3n de la vida.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>God Is Sovereign \u201cYet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but God did not allow him to hurt me.\u201dGenesis 31:7 The road of life has many twists and turns.
