Y el que ama a su hijo o a su hija m\u00e1s que a m\u00ed, no es digno de m\u00ed.\u201d<\/em><br \/><strong>Mateo 10:37<\/strong><\/p><p>En tiempos de Cristo, la gente buscaba al Pr\u00edncipe de Paz (Isa\u00edas 9:6; Salmo 72). No comprend\u00edan que primero el Se\u00f1or deb\u00eda ser rechazado, sufrir en la cruz, y entonces vendr\u00eda la gloria (1 Pedro 1:11). El Se\u00f1or comenz\u00f3 a preparar a sus seguidores desde temprano para el conflicto que deb\u00eda afrontar, un conflicto del que ellos tampoco podr\u00edan escapar. Debemos recordar que el contexto aqu\u00ed se centra en el servicio, y el Se\u00f1or expresa la necesidad de que sus disc\u00edpulos le den el primer lugar en sus vidas.<\/p><p>Tambi\u00e9n es \u00fatil comprender que se estableci\u00f3 una nueva relaci\u00f3n mediante la obra consumada de la cruz. El Se\u00f1or enfatiz\u00f3 esto en Marcos 3:31\u201335: <em data-start=\"1295\" data-end=\"1762\">\u201cEntonces llegaron sus hermanos y su madre, y estando afuera, mandaron llamarlo. Una multitud estaba sentada a su alrededor, y le dijeron: \u2018Mira, tu madre y tus hermanos est\u00e1n afuera busc\u00e1ndote\u2019. \u00c9l les respondi\u00f3: \u2018\u00bfQui\u00e9nes son mi madre y mis hermanos?\u2019. Mirando a los que estaban sentados a su alrededor, dijo: \u2018\u00a1Aqu\u00ed est\u00e1n mi madre y mis hermanos! Porque todo aquel que hace la voluntad de Dios, ese es mi hermano, mi hermana y mi madre\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p>El Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas estaba ense\u00f1ando a sus seguidores que si vamos a ser sus disc\u00edpulos, \u00c9l debe tener la prioridad en nuestras vidas. A menudo se ha dicho: <em data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"2054\">\u201cCristo est\u00e1 presente en la vida de todos los creyentes; en la de algunos, ocupa un lugar destacado. Pero la verdadera pregunta es: \u00bfocupa el lugar preeminente en mi vida?\u2019<\/em><\/p><p>La idea aqu\u00ed es que mi coraz\u00f3n debe estar completamente consagrado a Cristo, y todas las dem\u00e1s relaciones deben quedar en segundo lugar. Esta es realmente la idea de la santificaci\u00f3n. La palabra <em data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2259\">santificar<\/em> significa \u201capartar algo para un prop\u00f3sito\u201d. El Se\u00f1or dice:, <em data-start=\"2321\" data-end=\"2417\">\u201cNo piensen que he venido a traer paz a la tierra. No he venido a traer paz, sino espada.\u201d<\/em> (Mateo 10:34) La espada representa la separaci\u00f3n (Hebreos 4:12).<\/p><p>El Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas no condena las relaciones naturales o familiares. Pero deja claro que las relaciones naturales nunca deben tener prioridad sobre nuestra relaci\u00f3n con el Se\u00f1or Jes\u00fas, ni en nuestro servicio a \u00c9l ni en nuestra comuni\u00f3n con \u00c9l.\u00a0<\/p><p><em data-start=\"2913\" data-end=\"3007\">\u201cNadie que, despu\u00e9s de poner la mano en el arado, mira hacia atr\u00e1s, es apto para el reino de Dios.\u201d<\/em> (Lucas 9:62) Nadie puede servir al Se\u00f1or a medias.
