Un d\u00eda me siento salvado, pero al d\u00eda siguiente no\u201d? Quiz\u00e1s entiendas que solo la muerte de Cristo te da seguridad, pero crees que es lo que sientes lo que te da la certeza.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div>La imaginaci\u00f3n humana ve la salvaci\u00f3n de esta manera: \u201cLes he dado estas bendiciones a ustedes que creen en el nombre del Hijo de Dios, para que tengan la esperanza de la vida eterna\u201d. Ahora abre tu Biblia en 1 Juan 5:13 y compara los pensamientos imaginativos del hombre con la Palabra de Dios, que dice: \u201cLes he escrito estas cosas a ustedes que creen en el nombre del Hijo de Dios, para que sepan que tienen la vida eterna\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>En \u00c9xodo 11-12, el Se\u00f1or pronunci\u00f3 el juicio de muerte sobre los primog\u00e9nitos de cada casa en Egipto que no tuviera sangre de cordero en los dinteles de las puertas. Ahora bien, \u00bfc\u00f3mo supieron los primog\u00e9nitos de Israel que estaban a salvo aquella noche de juicio? Visitemos dos casas y escuchemos lo que dicen.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>En la primera casa, todos tiemblan de miedo. Cuando les preguntamos por qu\u00e9 tienen tanto miedo, el primog\u00e9nito nos dice que el \u00e1ngel de la muerte vendr\u00e1 esta noche y que no sabe qu\u00e9 va a pasar.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cCuando el \u00e1ngel destructor haya pasado por nuestra casa, sabr\u00e9 que estoy a salvo, pero hasta entonces, no puedo estar seguro. Los vecinos dicen estar seguros de su salvaci\u00f3n, pero nos parece una presunci\u00f3n. Lo \u00fanico que puedo hacer es esperar lo mejor.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Preguntamos: \u201c\u00bfAcaso el Dios de Israel no ha provisto un camino seguro para su pueblo?\u201d. El hijo responde: \u201cS\u00ed, e hicimos lo que Dios nos dijo. La sangre de un cordero sin mancha ha sido rociada en los dinteles de las puertas, pero a\u00fan no estamos seguros de nuestra seguridad\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Ahora vayamos a la casa de al lado. \u00a1Qu\u00e9 contraste! Todos est\u00e1n contentos. Los marcos de sus puertas est\u00e1n pintados y disfrutan del cordero asado. \u00bfA qu\u00e9 se debe tanta alegr\u00eda en una noche tan solemne? Responden: \u201cEstamos esperando las \u00f3rdenes de Jehov\u00e1, y entonces nos despediremos de Egipto\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cPero, \u00bfacaso no sabes que esta es una noche de juicio?\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cClaro, pero nuestro primog\u00e9nito est\u00e1 a salvo. La sangre se ha aplicado seg\u00fan las \u00f3rdenes de Dios.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201cPero eso tambi\u00e9n se ha hecho en la casa de al lado\u201d, respondemos, \u201cy est\u00e1n descontentos porque no est\u00e1n seguros de su seguridad\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>El primog\u00e9nito responde con firmeza: \u201cTenemos m\u00e1s que la sangre. Tenemos la Palabra de Dios al respecto. Dios dijo: \u2018Cuando vea la sangre, pasar\u00e9 de largo\u2019. Dios se satisface con la sangre que est\u00e1 por fuera, y nosotros nos satisfacemos con su Palabra por dentro. La sangre rociada nos protege, mientras que la Palabra de Dios nos da seguridad\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00bfCu\u00e1l de estas dos casas era m\u00e1s segura? La respuesta es que ambas eran igualmente seguras, pues su seguridad depend\u00eda \u00fanicamente de la opini\u00f3n de Dios sobre la sangre que hab\u00eda fuera, y no de sus sentimientos internos. Si quieres estar seguro de tus bendiciones, no escuches el testimonio inestable de tus emociones. Escucha, en cambio, la Palabra infalible de Dios: \u201cDe cierto, de cierto os digo: El que cree en m\u00ed tiene vida eterna\u201d (Jn. 6:47).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Perm\u00edtanme usar otro ejemplo. Un hombre pide alquilar una casa, pero el due\u00f1o no le da respuesta. Un d\u00eda, un vecino le dice: \u201cEstoy seguro de que conseguir\u00e1s esa casa. \u00bfNo recuerdas que el due\u00f1o te envi\u00f3 un regalo la Navidad pasada? Tambi\u00e9n te salud\u00f3 el otro d\u00eda\u201d. Estas palabras llenan al hombre de esperanza.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Al d\u00eda siguiente, otro vecino le dice: \u201cNo creo que consigas esa casa. Alguien m\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n ha preguntado por ella, y es muy amigo del due\u00f1o\u201d. Las brillantes esperanzas del hombre se desvanecen como burbujas de jab\u00f3n. Un d\u00eda tiene esperanza, y al d\u00eda siguiente, est\u00e1 lleno de dudas.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Entonces, llega una carta del due\u00f1o. Su rostro pasa de la incertidumbre a la alegr\u00eda al leerla. Exclama a su esposa: \u201cYa est\u00e1 todo resuelto. El due\u00f1o dice que la casa es nuestra mientras queramos alquilarla. Las opiniones ajenas ya no importan, ahora que tenemos la palabra del due\u00f1o por escrito\u201d.\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Muchas personas se encuentran en una situaci\u00f3n similar, preocupadas por las opiniones ajenas o por los sentimientos de su coraz\u00f3n. Solo cuando finalmente reciben la seguridad de la Palabra de Dios, la certeza reemplaza a la duda.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Cuando Dios habla, debe haber certeza, ya sea al anunciar la condenaci\u00f3n del incr\u00e9dulo o la salvaci\u00f3n del creyente. \u201cPor siempre, Se\u00f1or, permanece tu palabra en los cielos\u201d (Salmo 119:89). Su Palabra lo resuelve todo. \u201c\u00bfAcaso ha dicho algo y no lo cumplir\u00e1? \u00bfAcaso ha hablado y no lo llevar\u00e1 a cabo?\u201d (N\u00fameros 23:19).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Pero quiz\u00e1s te preguntes: &quot;\u00bfC\u00f3mo puedo estar seguro de tener la fe adecuada?&quot;. No se trata de la cantidad ni del tipo de fe, sino de la confiabilidad de la Persona en quien depositas tu fe. \u00bfConf\u00edas en la Persona correcta: el Hijo de Dios?\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Un hombre se aferra a Cristo con la fuerza de quien se ahoga, mientras que otro apenas roza el borde de su manto; ambos est\u00e1n igualmente a salvo. Ambos hicieron el mismo descubrimiento: pueden confiar plenamente en Cristo y en su Palabra, y descansar con seguridad en la eterna eficacia de su obra consumada.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Aseg\u00farate de que tu confianza no se base en tus buenas obras, tus actividades religiosas, tus sentimientos o tu formaci\u00f3n moral. Puedes tener la fe m\u00e1s firme en tales cosas y aun as\u00ed perecer eternamente. La fe m\u00e1s d\u00e9bil en Cristo salva eternamente; la creencia m\u00e1s firme en uno mismo es in\u00fatil.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>\u201c\u2014S\u00ed creo en \u00c9l \u2014dijo un d\u00eda una ni\u00f1a con semblante triste\u2014, pero no me gusta decir que soy salva por miedo a mentir. El padre de la ni\u00f1a hab\u00eda ido a una subasta de ganado a comprar ovejas y a\u00fan no hab\u00eda regresado. Entonces le dije: \u2014Imagina que cuando tu padre vuelva a casa, le preguntas cu\u00e1ntas ovejas compr\u00f3 y te dice que diez. M\u00e1s tarde, alguien te pregunta cu\u00e1ntas ovejas compr\u00f3 tu padre hoy y respondes: \u201dNo quiero decirlo porque podr\u00eda mentir\u201c. Con justa indignaci\u00f3n, su madre, que estaba cerca, exclam\u00f3: \u2014\u00a1Pero eso ser\u00eda convertir a su padre en un mentiroso!\u201d\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>De igual modo, esta chica bienintencionada estaba haciendo que Cristo pareciera un mentiroso al decir: \u201cCreo en \u00e9l, pero no me gusta decir que soy salva por miedo a estar mintiendo\u201d. Cristo ha declarado: \u201cEl que cree en m\u00ed tiene vida eterna\u201d (Jn. 6:47).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Entonces podr\u00edas preguntarte: &quot;\u00bfC\u00f3mo puedo estar seguro de que creo? Cuanto m\u00e1s examino mi fe, menos siento que tengo&quot;. Tal vez est\u00e9s mirando en la direcci\u00f3n equivocada. El hecho de que intentes creer solo demuestra que est\u00e1s en el camino equivocado.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Perm\u00edtanme usar otro ejemplo. Una noche, un hombre conocido por mentir les dice que un amigo acaba de morir en un accidente automovil\u00edstico. Probablemente no le crean porque lo conocen demasiado bien. Pero entonces un vecino les da la misma mala noticia. Esta vez, dicen: &quot;Ya que me lo dices, te creo&quot;. Les pregunto: &quot;\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 le crees a tu vecino y no al mentiroso?&quot;. Responden: &quot;Por qui\u00e9n es mi vecino. Nunca me ha mentido y s\u00e9 que nunca lo har\u00e1&quot;.\u201c\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>De la misma manera, s\u00e9 que puedo creer en el Evangelio gracias a Aquel que me trae la noticia. \u201cSi recibimos el testimonio de los hombres, mayor es el testimonio de Dios; porque este es el testimonio que Dios ha dado de su Hijo\u2026 El que no cree a Dios lo ha hecho mentiroso, porque no ha cre\u00eddo el testimonio que Dios ha dado de su Hijo\u201d (1 Jn 5:9-10).\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Una persona ansiosa le dijo una vez a un predicador: \u201cNo puedo creer\u201d. El predicador le pregunt\u00f3: \u201c\u00bfEn qui\u00e9n no puedes creer?\u201d. Esta pregunta resolvi\u00f3 el problema. Hab\u00eda estado considerando la fe como algo que deb\u00eda sentir en su interior para estar seguro de ser digno del cielo. Pero la fe siempre mira hacia afuera, a Cristo y su obra consumada, y escucha atentamente el testimonio de un Dios fiel acerca de ambos.\u00a0<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>La mirada exterior trae paz interior. Cuando un hombre vuelve su rostro hacia el sol, su sombra queda detr\u00e1s de \u00e9l. No puedes mirarte a ti mismo y a Cristo glorificado en el cielo al mismo tiempo. El Hijo de Dios gana tu confianza: su obra consumada te da seguridad eterna, y la Palabra de Dios te da la certeza de la
