Kaum war er angekommen (Vers 1), wies ihn der Herr an, sich zu verstecken (1. K\u00f6nige 17,2-3). Wie kann man einen Dienst aufbauen, wenn man nicht \u00f6ffentlich predigt und seine Macht demonstriert? Der Gedanke, sich zu verstecken, widerspricht zutiefst der menschlichen Natur und den Str\u00f6mungen unserer Welt. Der Herr war im Begriff, Elia auf m\u00e4chtige Weise zu gebrauchen, doch Elia musste erkennen, dass die Macht nicht in seiner eigenen Kraft lag. Er musste deutlich erfahren, dass \u201cJehova Gott ist\u201d, was die Bedeutung seines Namens ist. Elia hatte eine neue Wertsch\u00e4tzung f\u00fcr den Herrn und die Tatsache, dass er ein lebendiger Gott ist. Er erkannte auch, dass er in der Gegenwart seines Gottes stand und seine Ohren offen waren, um den Herrn zu h\u00f6ren. Aber er musste den Wert eines verborgenen Lebens in Kerit lernen.<\/p><p>Cherith bedeutet \u201cabschneiden\u201d, \u201czerteilen\u201d oder \u201cabtrennen\u201d. Der Herr brachte ihn hierher, um seine Selbstsucht zu \u00fcberwinden. Es ist der Ort, an dem der Herr uns lehrt, uns vollkommen auf ihn zu verlassen. Cherith ist der Ort, an dem Gott unsere Gedanken und W\u00fcnsche mit seinen in Einklang bringt.<\/p><p>In der ganzen Bibel verbirgt der Herr seine Diener, bevor er sie gebraucht. Josef wurde in einer Grube versteckt, dann in ein Gef\u00e4ngnis gesperrt, bevor er in den Palast kam. Mose hielt sich in der W\u00fcste versteckt, bevor er das Volk aus \u00c4gypten f\u00fchrte. David fl\u00fcchtete in den Bergen vor Saul und suchte in H\u00f6hlen Schutz, bevor er als K\u00f6nig anerkannt wurde. Paulus hielt sich nach seiner Bekehrung drei Jahre lang in Arabien versteckt, bevor er der Missionar wurde, den wir als Apostel Paulus kennen. Und hier verbirgt Gott Elia in Kerit vor dem gro\u00dfen Kampf am Berg Karmel mit den Baalspropheten.<\/p><p>Der urspr\u00fcngliche Slogan von YouTube lautete \u201cZeig dich selbst\u201d. Der \u201cSlogan\u201d f\u00fcr das christliche Leben ist genau das Gegenteil von \u201csich selbst in den Vordergrund stellen\u201d. Er lautet \u201csich verbergen\u201d, wie Paulus erkl\u00e4rte: \u201cIch bin mit Christus gekreuzigt worden; ich lebe aber, doch nicht ich, sondern Christus lebt in mir. Was ich aber jetzt im Fleisch lebe, das lebe ich im Glauben an den Sohn Gottes, der mich geliebt und sich selbst f\u00fcr mich hingegeben hat\u201d (Galater 2,20).<\/p><p><strong>Anker f\u00fcr heute:<\/strong><br \/>Nicht ich, sondern Christus! Das ist der Wert des verborgenen Lebens, dass Christus gesehen und geh\u00f6rt
