\u201cNach diesen Ereignissen erging das Wort des Herrn an Abram in einer Vision: \u2018F\u00fcrchte dich nicht, Abram! Ich bin dein Schild und dein \u00fcberaus gro\u00dfer Lohn.\u2019\u201d
Genesis 15:1<\/em><\/p>

In Kapitel 14 hatte Abraham gerade zwei gro\u00dfe Siege errungen. Zuerst rettete er Lot, und dann widerstand er der Versuchung des K\u00f6nigs von Sodom. Beides gelang ihm, weil er auf seinen Gott vertraute und die Gaben Melchisedeks, des K\u00f6nigs von Salem, nutzte, der ein Vorbild f\u00fcr den Herrn Jesus ist.<\/p>

Nach diesen Ereignissen erging das Wort des Herrn an Abram, das ihn auf andere Konflikte vorbereitete, die eher ein innerer Kampf sein w\u00fcrden, eine Zeit des \u201cSchreckens und der gro\u00dfen Finsternis\u201d (V. 12). Die in den Versen 13\u201314 vorhergesagten Ereignisse erf\u00fcllten sich in Genesis 46 und im gesamten Buch Exodus, als das Volk Israel in \u00c4gypten zu Fremden wurde.<\/p>

Oftmals greift der Feind nach gro\u00dfen Siegen durch Zweifel, \u00c4ngste und Unsicherheit an. Doch in unserem Vers sehen wir, wie der Herr Abram durch sein Wort ermutigt: \u201cF\u00fcrchte dich nicht! Ich bin dein Schild, dein \u00fcberaus gro\u00dfer Lohn.\u201d Der Herr wollte, dass Abram auf ihn vertraute \u2013 nicht auf seine Siege und nicht auf seine eigenen F\u00e4higkeiten. Abram hatte kurz zuvor die Geschenke des K\u00f6nigs von Sodom abgelehnt, der ein Sinnbild f\u00fcr diese Welt ist. Glaube, der die Angst \u00fcberwindet, ist Glaube, der auf dem Wort Gottes gr\u00fcndet! In diesem Moment erklingt das Wort des Herrn: \u201cF\u00fcrchte dich nicht!\u201d Dies ist das erste Mal, dass diese Worte in der Heiligen Schrift gesprochen werden, doch sie werden immer wiederholt.<\/p>

Gottes Heilmittel gegen unsere Angst besteht darin, uns daran zu erinnern, wer er ist: \u201cIch bin dein Schild, dein \u00fcberaus gro\u00dfer Lohn!\u201d Er ist der gro\u00dfe ICH BIN, und er gen\u00fcgt, um all unsere Bed\u00fcrfnisse zu stillen und jeden Zweifel auszul\u00f6schen. Wir brauchen nur still zu sein und zu wissen, dass er Gott ist!<\/p>

Er versicherte Abram auch, dass er sein Schild zum Schutz und sein \u00fcberaus gro\u00dfer Lohn f\u00fcr seine Versorgung sei. Als unser Schild kann er alle feurigen Pfeile des Zweifels und der Angst, die uns begegnen, ausl\u00f6schen. Wir m\u00fcssen den Schild des Glaubens hochhalten, um den Sieg zu erringen, und er wird unser Schild sein. Doch nicht nur das: Er kann all unsere \u00c4ngste und Zweifel durch seine Versorgung f\u00fcr den Weg ersetzen. Die Versorgung, mit der er uns besch\u00e4ftigen m\u00f6chte, ist er selbst. Er ist unser \u00fcberaus gro\u00dfer Lohn! Er f\u00e4hrt fort, Abram zu erz\u00e4hlen, was er f\u00fcr ihn tun wird (V. 2\u20136) und was er f\u00fcr ihn getan hat (V. 7\u201321), aber alles begann damit, was er f\u00fcr ihn bedeutet.<\/p>
