Er nennt sie Pilger, also Menschen, die nicht dazugeh\u00f6ren, nur auf der Durchreise sind, die nicht in ihrer Heimat leben, sondern sich in einem fremden Land befinden. Er wollte ihnen bewusst machen, dass ihre \u201cHeimat im Himmel ist\u201d (Phil 3,20) und dass diese Heimat an erster Stelle stehen sollte. Sie m\u00f6gen B\u00fcrger des R\u00f6mischen Reiches sein, aber in Wahrheit sind sie Gottes Pilger, geistliche Fremde auf der Suche nach einer \u201cStadt mit festem Fundament, deren Baumeister und Sch\u00f6pfer Gott ist\u201d (Hebr 11,10). Das bedeutet, dass ihre irdische Staatsb\u00fcrgerschaft zweitrangig ist. Sie sollten sich als vor\u00fcbergehend in einer fremden Welt lebend verstehen (vgl. 1 Petr 2,11\u201312).<\/p><p>Petrus r\u00e4t ihnen nicht, sich von der Welt zur\u00fcckzuziehen und in ein Kloster zu gehen, isoliert von der feindseligen Welt, in der sie lebten. Vielmehr wollte er sie mit der Lehre st\u00e4rken, die sie im Kampf gegen den Teufel (5,7) festigen und bef\u00e4higen sollte, \u201cjedem Rede und Antwort zu stehen, der nach dem Grund eurer Hoffnung fragt, und zwar mit Sanftmut und Ehrfurcht\u201d (3,15). Gl\u00e4ubige k\u00e4mpfen heute st\u00e4ndig gegen den Strom dieser Welt an. Verlieren wir unseren Platz in dieser Welt aus den Augen, werden wir entmutigt.
