Er war sehr ausgeglichen und verfiel keinem Extrem. Josia sah sich mit Spaltung, Verwirrung und allerlei \u00dcbel konfrontiert. Doch in diesen dunklen Tagen war es das Licht des Wortes Gottes, das dem Land neue Erweckung brachte.<\/p><p>Das Buch des Gesetzes wurde gefunden; es war vernachl\u00e4ssigt, vergessen und im Tempel verloren gegangen. Vielleicht hielten es manche f\u00fcr ein \u00fcberholtes, uraltes Relikt; vielleicht war es deshalb im Haus des Herrn falsch platziert worden. Gem\u00e4\u00df den Geboten an Josua sollte dieses Buch nicht von ihrem Mund weichen. Sie sollten es studieren und sich ihm unterwerfen (Jos 1,7\u20139). Jeder neue K\u00f6nig, \u201csobald er auf dem Thron seines K\u00f6nigreichs sitzt, soll sich eine Abschrift dieses Gesetzes in ein Buch schreiben, nach dem, das vor den Priestern, den Leviten, liegt\u201d (Dtn 17,18). Doch dieses Buch war lange Zeit vernachl\u00e4ssigt worden.<\/p><p>Wir leben in einer Gesellschaft, die das Wort Gottes in vielerlei Hinsicht vernachl\u00e4ssigt hat. Die Bibel gilt als \u00fcberholtes religi\u00f6ses Relikt, das in unserer heutigen Zeit keine Relevanz mehr hat. Doch gerade diese Vernachl\u00e4ssigung erkl\u00e4rt den Zustand unserer St\u00e4dte, unseres Landes und unserer Welt. Viele bekennende Gl\u00e4ubige haben das Wort Gottes heute vernachl\u00e4ssigt. Oft wird die Bibel verharmlost, verw\u00e4ssert oder schlichtweg als nicht mehr auf unsere Welt anwendbar betrachtet. Aber wir sollten es wie Jeremia machen, der sagte: \u201cAls ich deine Worte fand, a\u00df ich sie, und dein Wort war mir Freude und Wonne meines Herzens\u201d (Jer 15,16).<\/p><p><strong>Anker f\u00fcr heute:<\/strong><br \/>Lasst uns wie Josia und Jeremia sein, die eifrig nach dem Wort Gottes
