\u201cUnd Samuel fragte Isai: \u201cSind alle jungen M\u00e4nner hier?\u201d Isai antwortete: \u201cDer J\u00fcngste ist noch da; er h\u00fctet die Schafe.\u201d Da sagte Samuel zu Isai: \u201cSchick ihn her und lass ihn holen! Wir wollen uns nicht setzen, bis er da ist.\u201d\u201d<\/em>
1 Samuel 16:11<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

In 1 Samuel 16 lernen wir junge Menschen kennen. David<\/span><\/span>. Hier erfahren wir, dass er auf den Weiden die Schafe seines Vaters h\u00fctete. Stellen Sie sich das einmal vor \u2013 es ist wohl kaum das, was wir als ideale Vorbereitung auf einen zuk\u00fcnftigen K\u00f6nig bezeichnen w\u00fcrden. Aber genau das war es. David verbrachte viele Stunden auf den Weiden und passte auf die Schafe auf. Diese Zeit war gut investiert, denn in dieser Zeit lernte David die Gegenwart Gottes wirklich zu sch\u00e4tzen.<\/p>

Stell dir David in einer ruhigen, dunklen Nacht vor, wie er in den sternen\u00fcbers\u00e4ten Himmel aufblickt. W\u00e4hrend er die unz\u00e4hligen Lichter betrachtete, erkl\u00e4rte er sp\u00e4ter: \u201cWenn ich deinen Himmel betrachte, das Werk deiner Finger, den Mond und die Sterne, die du dort hingestellt hast: Was ist der Mensch, dass du seiner gedenkst, und des Menschen Sohn, dass du dich seiner annimmst?\u201d (Psalm 8,3\u20134).<\/p>

Dies war Davids \u00dcbungsfeld, das ihn darauf vorbereitete, Gottes Volk zu h\u00fcten. Es war vermutlich eint\u00f6nig, da er oft immer wieder dasselbe tat. Schlie\u00dflich, wie aufregend k\u00f6nnen Schafe schon sein? Man stelle sich vor, wie einsam diese N\u00e4chte gewesen sein m\u00fcssen. Doch die Stille dieses \u00dcbungsfeldes lehrte ihn, die Gegenwart Gottes zu genie\u00dfen und oft mit ihm zu sprechen.<\/p>

Es war nicht nur ein einsamer und eint\u00f6niger Ort, an dem man sich \u00fcbte, sondern auch ein verborgener. David stand nicht im Rampenlicht; niemand sah, was er Tag f\u00fcr Tag tat. Dies lehrte ihn Treue \u2013 zum Herrn und zu den ihm anvertrauten Schafen.<\/p>

Aus dieser Erfahrung heraus konnte David schreiben: \u201cDer Herr ist mein Hirte; mir wird nichts mangeln.\u201d Er verstand seine eigene Verirrung wie die eines Schafes, das sich leicht vom Hirten entfernen konnte. Er wusste um seine Bed\u00fcrftigkeit nach Gottes Gnade und F\u00fchrung. Er konnte auch schreiben: \u201cEr weidet mich auf gr\u00fcnen Auen und f\u00fchrt mich zu stillen Wassern.\u201d Als junger Mann war Davids Leben von Stille gepr\u00e4gt, und er kannte die Freude der Gemeinschaft mit dem Herrn.<\/p>

David war nicht perfekt, aber sein Herz war auf Heiligkeit gerichtet, und er w\u00fcnschte sich, dass dies in seinem Leben sichtbar w\u00fcrde. Das sehen wir, wenn er sagte: \u201cEr erquickt meine Seele; er f\u00fchrt mich auf rechten Wegen um seines Namens willen.\u201d Als Hirte war David vielen Gefahren ausgesetzt, doch er lernte in diesen pr\u00e4genden Jahren, auf den Herrn zu vertrauen. Er lernte auch, Gottes sch\u00fctzende und erziehende Hand zu sch\u00e4tzen, wie seine Worte belegen: \u201cUnd ob ich schon wanderte im finstern Tal, f\u00fcrchte ich kein Ungl\u00fcck; denn du bist bei mir, dein Stecken und Stab tr\u00f6sten mich.\u201d<\/p>

David dr\u00fcckte seine Dankbarkeit f\u00fcr Gottes F\u00fcrsorge aus, als er schrieb: \u201cDu bereitest vor mir einen Tisch im Angesicht meiner Feinde; du salbst mein Haupt mit \u00d6l, und mein Becher flie\u00dft \u00fcber.\u201d Er offenbarte auch sein auf Gott gerichtetes Herz, als er erkl\u00e4rte: \u201cNur G\u00fcte und Gnade werden mir folgen mein Leben lang, und ich werde bleiben im Hause des Herrn immerdar.\u201d<\/p>

Anker f\u00fcr heute:<\/strong>
Wo immer du dich heute befindest, ist das Gottes \u00dcbungsfeld f\u00fcr dich. Der Herr formt und pr\u00e4gt dich f\u00fcr etwas, das er f\u00fcr dich vorbereitet hat. Es muss nicht unbedingt die K\u00f6nigsw\u00fcrde sein, aber er m\u00f6chte dich gebrauchen, so wie er es mit David tat.
