Nahum wird vom Herrn berufen, das Gericht \u00fcber eben jenes Volk zu prophezeien, das Bu\u00dfe getan hatte, nachdem Jona ihnen widerwillig gepredigt hatte. Doch die Zeit war vergangen, und die Einwohner Ninives waren zu ihren s\u00fcndhaften Wegen zur\u00fcckgekehrt. Im ersten Kapitel lesen wir von der Verk\u00fcndung des Gerichts, im zweiten von der Macht des Gerichts und im dritten von dessen Endg\u00fcltigkeit. Drei Kapitel des Gerichts \u2013 alles in diesem Buch!<\/p><p>Doch unser Vers leuchtet wie ein Leuchtturm in der dunklen Nacht und spendet allen Vor\u00fcbergehenden Hoffnung! In diesem einen Vers erkennen wir drei Dinge. Erstens lesen wir von der G\u00fcte Gottes. Das w\u00fcrden wir vielleicht nicht so ausdr\u00fccken; wir h\u00e4tten vielleicht verk\u00fcndet: \u201eDer Herr ist heilig\u201c oder \u201eDer Herr ist gro\u00df\u201c, aber Nahum verk\u00fcndet die G\u00fcte des Herrn! Der Herr ist gut \u2013 in seinem Wesen, in seiner Ethik, Moral und in der Praxis. Der Psalmist erinnert uns daran, dass der Herr gut ist und Gutes tut (Psalm 119,68). Diese G\u00fcte Gottes zeigte sich im ganzen Leben des Herrn Jesus, als er umherging und Gutes auf jede erdenkliche Weise tat (Apostelgeschichte 10,38).<\/p><p>Die zweite und dritte Aussage Nahums sind eindeutig. Der Herr kann diejenigen, die sich ihm zuwenden, vor dem strengen Gericht bewahren, das bald \u00fcber Ninive kommen sollte. Nahum konnte selbst angesichts des Gerichts verk\u00fcnden, dass der Herr gut ist, denn er ist ein starker Turm f\u00fcr alle, die ihm vertrauen.<\/p><p>So wie das Gericht \u00fcber Ninive kam, so kommt es nun \u00fcber die ganze Menschheit. Heute strahlt ein Leuchtturm die frohe Botschaft von Gottes Gnade aus und verk\u00fcndet: \u201cGott liebt dich!\u201d Er hat am Kreuz Jesu Christi den Weg zur Erl\u00f6sung bereitet. Alle, die zu ihm kommen und ihre S\u00fcnden bekennen, werden gerettet!
