Furcht hatte sein Herz ergriffen, und in solcher Furcht fehlt die Kraft, gegen den Strom der Welt anzuk\u00e4mpfen. Ein Akronym f\u00fcr Furcht lautet: Furcht ist Glaubenslosigkeit, Energielosigkeit und R\u00fcckzug. Paulus wollte das nicht f\u00fcr Timotheus; er wollte nicht, dass Timotheus sich Christi sch\u00e4mte. Paulus weist Timotheus auf eine wunderbare Quelle hin, die jedem Gl\u00e4ubigen zur Verf\u00fcgung steht: den Mann in der Herrlichkeit! <em data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"912\">Jesus Christus<\/em> wird mindestens sieben Mal verwendet und bezieht sich auf den Herrn Jesus im Himmel zur Rechten Gottes \u2013 ein Ort der Macht, Autorit\u00e4t und Ressource f\u00fcr jeden Gl\u00e4ubigen, ungeachtet des Chaos, das in seiner Kultur herrschen mag.<\/p><p data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1869\">Paulus verstand Timotheus&#039; Angst, ermutigte ihn aber, indem er von seinen eigenen Erfahrungen und seinem Vertrauen berichtete: \u201cDeshalb leide auch ich diese Dinge; dennoch sch\u00e4me ich mich nicht, denn ich wei\u00df, an wen ich glaube, und bin \u00fcberzeugt, dass er imstande ist, das mir Anvertraute bis zu jenem Tag zu bewahren\u201d (2. Timotheus 1,12). In diesem Vers erinnert Paulus Timotheus \u2013 und uns \u2013 daran, dass wir eine pers\u00f6nliche Beziehung zu Gott brauchen. Er k\u00f6nnte sagen: \u201cIch wei\u00df, an wen ich glaube.\u201d Dann erinnert er uns daran, dass es einer pers\u00f6nlichen \u00dcberzeugung bedarf: \u201cIch bin \u00fcberzeugt, dass er imstande ist, zu bewahren.\u201d Drittens ermutigt uns Paulus zu pers\u00f6nlicher Hingabe: \u201cBewahre, was ich dir anvertraut habe.\u201d Paulus&#039; Vertrauen ruhte nicht auf sich selbst, sondern auf seinem Gott, der allm\u00e4chtig ist! Dies zeugt von der Macht und St\u00e4rke unseres Gottes.<\/p><p data-start=\"1871\" data-end=\"2616\">Wenn wir uns auf Christus und seine Macht und Kraft konzentrieren, k\u00f6nnen wir an der Lehre der gesunden Lehre festhalten (2. Timotheus 1,13). Die Vorstellung einer solchen Lehre gibt uns einen klaren \u00dcberblick und unterstreicht, wie wichtig es ist, zu wissen, was wir glauben und warum. Petrus ermahnt uns als Nachfolger Jesu Christi: \u201cHeiligt den Herrn, den HERRN, in euren Herzen und seid stets bereit zur Verantwortung vor jedermann, der von euch Rechenschaft fordert \u00fcber die Hoffnung, die in euch ist, und das mit Sanftmut und Ehrfurcht\u201d (1. Petrus 3,15). Dazu m\u00fcssen wir wissen, was wir glauben und warum.
