The LORD Who Heals You
The LORD Who Heals You “For indeed he was sick almost unto death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.”Philippians 2:27 In today’s verse, we see the Lord as Jehovah-Ropheka, which means “The LORD Who Heals You.” This comes from […]
The LORD Our Banner
The LORD Our Banner “and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.”Philippians 1:28 In Philippians 1:28, we have an indication of Jehovah Nissi, which means “The LORD Our Banner.” It comes from Exodus 17:15, where we see […]
Mercy On Display
Mercy On Display “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”Lamentations 3:22-23 Mercy is to be seen in the life of every believer! A great example of such mercy is found in Luke 10 with the story of the Good Samaritan. […]
The Goodness of God
The Goodness of God “No one is good but One, that is, God.”Luke 18:19 Consider for a moment the truth that Jesus declared in today’s verse – God is good. God is originally good: Meaning that all goodness originates from Him! There is no other source from which it comes. As we already read in […]
The Patience of God
The Patience of God Think of just how patient God was with Jonah. We know the story, but what is amazing to me is that the whole time Jonah ran from God, he knew that God was patient! Look at what he says in Jonah 4:1-2: “But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. […]
The Exact Representation
The Exact Representation “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”Matthew 11:27 In John 8:19 we read, “Then they said to Him, ‘Where is […]
The Father Revealed
The Father Revealed “And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”John 17:26 When the Lord Jesus walked here in this world He revealed the Father. In John 1:14 we read, “The Word became flesh and […]
Peace Of Mind
Peace Of Mind “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”Isaiah 26:3 Another way we break the chains of worry, anxiety, and fear is to guard our thoughts. What do we allow ourselves to think about? Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for […]
Do Not Fear
Do Not Fear “For my sighing comes before I eat, and my groanings pour out like water. For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.”Job 3:24-25 As we read the opening chapters of the book of Job, we learn that Job was a man of […]
Trust In The Lord
Trust In The Lord “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be […]
