The Parable of The Sower | Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23
In the opening verses of Joshua we are introduced to the new leader of Israel. Joshua was the man God had prepared to lead Israel into the promised land. The land was theirs by right because God had given it to them, but they had the responsibility to arise and possess it! The Lord promised that His presence would go with Joshua and encouraged him for the task that he had been to do.

Our works don't make us right with God - His grace does! Only after we're saved can our works please Him. Ephesians 2 tells us that we are saved "through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." But then we are told that we have been "created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
